Is Critters the same thing as Gremlins?

Not even close. Critters is about Tribbles with teeth that eat people.

Not really. Same basic concept though. Violent little monsters.

Yeah I like the series even though I've only watched like the first two movies.

Gremlins and Critters are very different. And don't believe people who say Critters ripped off Gremlins, neither ripped each other off. Critters was thought of first and was in production first, but Gremlins came out in theaters first.

Critters eat people. Gremlins just like causing chaos and like to kill, not necessarily eat people (but maybe that's because they weren't in a "horror" movie like Critters were).
