Aren't they in the process of producing a Magneto movie? If so, it wouldn't be too far off to assume they'd introduce Captain America somewhere in that flick. Then, having established the leader of The Avengers, you can get to work on that film while introducing Thor into the mix. Thus, you don't have to spend funds on an entire movie explaining that Thor is a super hero because he is Thor.

Yes, I saw it...it was amazing to say the least.
Great special effects, I loved all the sci-fi aspects of it and all the technology, gadgets, etc..

The battles were awesome galore, I mean it was great...it was so much more than a good action movie. It had a good story with stand out characters, this I truly appreciate. At the end of the credits, Tony is talking to Samuel L. Jackson (dude with an eye patch) and he's talking about the Avengers to Tony Stark. I mean there is an endless possibility here.

I just came back from the movie theatre watching it. The movie was great. I didn't stay for the credit to see Samuel L. Jackson as Ultimate Nick Fury. It would be great if they make an Avengers movie.

I believe the avengers flick is going to happen.

Robert Downey Jr is credited as Tony Stark in the new Hulk Movie. So he is def going to approach Ed Norton - Bruce Banner with the avengers initiative.

Let's see an avengers movie with -
Peter Parker - Toby MaQuire
Bruce Banner - Ed Norton
Tony Stark - Robert Downey Jr.
Nick Fury - Samuel L Jackson
Logan - Hugh Jackman
Captain America - ? (not casted yet)
Thor - Kevin McKidd (rumored)

This cast would cost 100 million alone. The budget would run at least 500 mil. plus. The special effects on each character alone are ridiculous! Although this movie would be a dream come true... they might have to do a re-casting or eliminate popular characters like Logan and Spiderman.

If they don't get Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman to reprise their roles, I hope they don't include them in The Avengers movie. The last thing I want is a list of actors who all play one superhero.

Oh shi-

No. I rally hope Wolverine and Spidey aren't in it. Wolvey has too uch screen time as is, and Spidey isn't really.. a team player, imo... haven't read New Avengers though...

Personally, I'd like to see Cap, Iron Man and Hulk appear, with Thor and Loki appearing.. in the actual movie itself. I realise that that cast isn't enough but... hopefully they won't just stick he heavy money earners together.

Again.

I'm so fucking...excited baby! Omg...an Avengers movie could be like...godly?

The only thing that worries me is that in sequels with these recent comic movies they try to stuff too much into the third movie (X-Men and Spiderman). I really hope we get to see just one story take place that's good and not too much. Although I can easily see this going to be around three hours long. I mean with more super heroes each one needs screen time.

Marvel confirmed that they are indeed making a movie surrounding The Avengers. It is set for release in the summer of 2011, but that's not all. That same summer a Captain America movie will be released.

On a side note, Iron Man 2 was confirmed, and Thor will be making an appearance in it. (Summer 2010)

Thank you, Marvel.

Iron Man was a pretty good movie. I'd say 8 out of 10. The fight at the end sucked. All that for a shitty end fight. I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw Jim Rhodes look at the other suit Stark made. Then he says, "next time". War Machine is the man and I can't wait to see him in the sequel.
