Default Re: Books?

I have plenty to read. I just never take the time to actually do so. The only times I read now is when I'm in the car whith parents and on a plane. I might read a bit more frequently this summer though since I won't have to worry about school. The only problem about Sun-Tzu is the amount of info and names. I'm experienced in chinese so I can remember the names a bit better, but I know if I knew little about the culture, I'd be confused as hell.

the more enjoyable books are Summer of '42, The Outsiders, and Animal Farm.

the best books in terms of literary skill would be The Catcher in the Rye and Out Stealing Horses; for me, anyway.

The Outsiders, I completely forgot about that book.
1984 and Animal Farm were pretty decent.

Outside of those three, I'm much more of a non-fictional/current events/philosophy reader.

1984 was a good book, but I find it overrated. I enjoyed it, and I can not deny the impact it had on the world with the whole big brother thing, but I did not find it to be that great of a book. Good, not great.

I need to finish Sun Tzu

Some of my favorite books are the James Bond books, Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer(I liked Huckleberry more).
I like some detective novels Chester Himes being one of my favorite authors. I also read this book called Aberystwyth which was fricking immense though I can't remember who write it.

Did they make a movie out of Summer of '42?

My favorites are I Am Legend, Plague of the Dead: The Morningstar Strain, The Eyes of the Dragon, Tommyknockers, and 'Salem's Lot.

Can't stand any so-called "classic literature".

I love reading, and getting myself into the "layers" of a book, although I don't do it as often as I would like to. I find most literature fascinating. I just finished "Death of A Salesman" two days ago. I'm about to start HG Wells' "The Island of Dr. Moreau."

I think most classic literature should at least be appriciated for what it is. I hate it when people spit on it and say it all sucks. What I hate even more is when people say that they hate reading, or that they think reading is boring.

Reading boring books is boring. If they read non-boring books, they wouldn't think that way.

The ones who say reading is boring, tend to read at a 7th grade level; if that.
It's always the ones who can't that try to put it down.
