Why didn't they go with the SNES concept, similar to the X series?

I already made a thread about it.

They haven't even mentioned Duo or Zero, the evil energy, have they even thought what Bass is gonna look like? Seriously 11 years of waiting and it's gonna suck alot but nonetheless I'll give it a try. I know it won't beat 8 though.

Megaman is a classic, it should be a good game, but i wonder if their are more loyal fans still left. They did take a long time to come out with this game.

they stated in the video they wanted to bring the old school format back, where as the first 6 games were re-released on Playstaion import and were given anime FMV Cut Scenes similar to Megaman 8, Megaman X3(import PS and Saturn) and Megaman X4

I saw it was slated for PS3 as well as Wii, wouldn't mind getting it for PS3 since I don't have a Wii
