The pokémon games are sick. Still fun to this day, even if I don't venture past the Gold/Silver era.

Silverwas my favourite Pokémon game. I've enjoyed all of them, but Silver was just too awesome for words. My Silver cartridge erased all my date, which included 60% of the entire Pokémon available at lv100, being erased.
But that's why lord gave us the internet. ^_^

Played them a while ago since my friend gave me a Gameboy SP and some games. :)

Stopped playing it for now due to anime, web design, and programming. But yes, I love the games. They are in fact the best rpg games around on a handheld system if I do say so myself. We just need bad ass Pokemon designs for new games and some innovation. Silver I loved, due to the time changing and it going from light to dark, created a much needed reality for the game. What I would like to see is true to Pokemon pokeball action. Where the ball is shot out, the light changes, and it goes off if you get it. Simple stuff like that will take the games further down the road.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a system that allows you to catch HP deleted Pokemon in battle, but to attain them you must get them to a Pokemon center within a time limit (time limit being based off rarity of species).

Some of the new Pokémon designs are pretty cool in themselves, but I don't think I'll ever be able to cope with the number of them. I looked on wiki and there are no less than 493 Pokémon. Waaay too many for me - I liked being able to at least know the names of each one.

D/P was a huge dissappointment to me.

The only thing I liked was that I could finally get a shiny milotic.

I love Pokemon. It's something from my past that isn't viewed through rose-coloured glasses, as it's stil very good when I play it today. My favourite game was Gold/Silver, as they took Red/Blue and added more, making it easier to play and more in-depth. Such a beautiful game...

I'd prefer they put quality Pokemon over the quantity of them personally. Well defined Pokemon won't have their names lost within memories so easily. Like a good deal of psychic, steel, grass, fire, ground, rock, electric, water, normal, dark, ghost, poison, ice, flying, bug, and dragon type Pokemon; surely this is more than enough types in my opinion.

Maybe two to three different series of Pokemon pertaining to each type. A solid cast would be superior to a group of inferior species but just large in volume. That's the reason that season one Pokemon are the best in my opinion. I would easily choose Charizard of Venusaur over latter Pokemon. Not to say I hate latter series.

It also should be easier to get a shiny Pokemon and in my opinion a shiny Pokemon should either get a boost in what it is capable of (special ability) or a special attack that a non-shiny Pokemon would not get. I think it would be a good mix up.

I <3 Pokemon, deadliest GB/GBA/DS games I've ever played, still have my Crystal savefile with 210 Pokes ( fuckin' Entei is impossible to catch, and with no Entei, no Ho-Oh.... ), aswell as Emerald ( <3 Rayquaza, kickass muthafucka! Also great music. ) and Pearl ( cheated the shit out of this, now have each Legendary in normal and shiny for kicks, with all the shinies having their names in japanese, aswell as having all 493. Even better music then the Advance Generation [ R/S/E/FR/LG ] ). Have Yellow somewhere with no save data and we used to have Red and Blue on a emulator.

I enjoyed Diamond and Pearl, though I am fed up with similiar 'new' bird like pokemon popping up. I liked the new graphics and polished style of it. I'm going to get Pokémon Platinum and I'm curious if this will be the last of these types. I already think they've gone over the limit of plausible new pokemon ideas, so who knows.

I agree with the bird situation...we need more detailed and well silhouetted bird type Pokemon (as in them standing out and not being mere copycats of one another).

I disagree. Pearl had horrible music apart from the champion battle and the gym/E4 battles.
