Is Wii actually worth it?

What are your opinions on this system? Is it worth it and does it have potential? I want a run-down from you Wii users.

I have played the sports games before but that's about all.

I'm not really a hardcore gamer, but the Wii is great fun with friends and that. It isn't too bad on single-player games, things like Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess are epic, but it more or less seems to excel in party-type games.

I'd say it's worth it, personally.

i enjoy that mario soccer game also mario galaxy and mario and sonic at the olympics its worth it (i don't own a wii either)

Thing is, if you don't own a Wii, you don't know what it is like playing games without friends. Even really shit games can be amusing when a group is playing it with you.

I wanted one so badly, I would have killed my entire family for one, I then finally got one. It's now sitting in the cupboard not getting played.

Don't buy it. Sure there's some great games on there, but it's just not enough to keep me playing. Plus Nintendo fucked Europe off again [fags] and Brawl is the only game I want now, that and No More Heroes, and Brawl isn't even that good a game. It needed more Ridley.

Yes.

It does not excel in hardcore fighting (unless you count SSBB) or shooting but it does excel in party and sports games, controls, and inovation. If you plan on playing alone, games like Legend of Zelda are good choices, yet if you want to have lots of friends over, then the Mario sport titles and SSBB are some good fun. There are going to be better games for each of the two but the wii is worth it.

Depends, the Wii games I play for like a solid 2-3 weeks then I just playing the games. Without a good online it takes away allot from games like Super Smash and Mario Kart. Hell if Nintendo was cool they would of had updates for Wii sports and kept that a good game.
I say yes for Nintendo fans and no for a Online gamer.

See the thing is that my partner really wants one. Our PS3 just doesn't cut it for her. She's much more into the Nintendo type games so I'm thinking of getting one for her. I know she'll like the Sports game but I want to make sure it's at least enjoyable most of the time.

Anyway, I'd suggest it, yeah. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for, though, and I like the PS3 more, but that doesn't stop the Wii from being awesome.
