Ok, here's the score. I just got me a PS3. It came with Genji but whatever. Just bought The Orange Box and Elder Scrolls. Give me your top 5 games and why they're good, I want to buy more but want real players opinions before I buy them. Give me the good, the bad and the ugly on all your favorite games, be brutally honest. I'm into all kinds of different genres so just gimme your best of the best (Only sports game I really like is Soocer really) If you suggest a game and I buy it and it's shit, I'll hunt you down.

Armored Core is definitely not in the top 5 why?
- Missions in that game are way too short

-The graphics are pretty lame, they're not flashy and have nothing special

-Lackluster online multiplayer


Gundam series

- Look Punxx, I like you, you're a cool dude but just don't buy that, especially on the PS3. You don't deserve such a treatement and no one else does.


Assassin's creed is not in the top 5 neither, why you ask?

-Game gets repetitive after an hour or so

-Some visible glitches

-The stealth isn't all that fun

HM to that game though, if you like that type you'll love it


Unreal tournament

- That game is just there for the online, single player mode doesn't exist, if you're not an online guy, then don't buy this

That's my top 5, but I would have to know what kind of games you like so you are sure to don't make a bad purchase. Because, if you're not into shooters, COD4 is definitely not for you.

I bought the game and traded it in for 2 reasons. There's only 1-2 mission in the game worth playing and they're a 40-50 second beat. Also, Armored Core For Answers is on the way.

- Gundam Games

Haven't tried it yet.

- Assassin's Creed

Rent it, beat it, never touch it again.

- Unreal Tournament

An FPS. Nothin else to say about it, really.

On another note, Genji's not really a bad game. I got it with my PS3 as it was cheap and I enjoyed the 1st game. It's not BAD. People butcher it for nothin really.

I suggest Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4 (I got the MGO Beta which you may be able to get in if you pre-order it) and that's it as I've played so few games. Dynasty Warriors 6 is great as long as you realize it's a game made to just pick up and play every now and again.


Also, you can download many demos from the PSN to try 'em out.

As you said CoD may not be for me. I am sort of looking forward to the new MGS, that should be really sweet. I want a really epic RPG to come out. I haven't started ES: Oblivion yet, but from what I've heard it's right up my alley.

If it helps you any some of my favorite all time games are things like: Final Fantasy, Perfect Dark, Civilisation/Alpha Centauri, Starcraft, Diablo II, Metal Gear ... and various others. Granted some of those are PC only, but it gives you something to work with.
