What do you think about PGR series?
SoF wasn't that bad. I know it's not one of the best games but I enjoy killing those stupid enemies and all that violence is kinda cool. The weapons are nice also but still I can't say it's an awful game. In my opinion, its pretty entertaining... |

The only SoF game I've played is the Gold Edition of SoF2, I think, and that was a long time ago, and from what I've heard it hasn't evolved much since then...but I suppose if you're really into any FPS games then I suppose you can't go wrong, because they all let you run around and shoot people.
Never played PGR, don't know why, I've just never bothered. |

Yeah, I love FPS games. I don't really care much if it's bad or not, I just enjoy most of them. I've also played SoF 2 Gold Edition 2 years ago and it was good. SoF Payback is developed by a different company that's why it's a bit worse than the old one. However my favorite FPS game is Call of Duty 4.
PGR is alright. I'm also good at racing games but PGR4 is really, really hard. |

I finished COD4 the other day, it's up there with my favourites.
Do you remember in that other thread where you said the thing about the ending? Well I have to agree with you, there was a tremendous amount of satisfaction in that, especially the way it happens, I was expecting it to just be normal, and in-game, but it was pretty cool. By the way, I'm playing through again on veteran (I did it first on hardened), have you done it on this difficulty? It gives Rainbow Six Vegas on realistic a run for its money in difficulty stakes, and the epilogue is just ridiculous on veteran |

Yeah, I remember. Really, the ending was extremely cool. Also the mission with snipers, did you like it??? (thats was my absolute favorite mission)
I finished some levels on veteran (very, very hard times) but you're right. The epilogue it's near to impossible in veteran. It's more about the time, there's not much time. I also own Rainbow Six Vegas. Pretty cool but COD4 just feels better while playing. |

The sniper mission was very good but I'd say it the final bit (one shot, one kill), where you have to fight off waves and waves of enemies was probably the hardest bit of the entire game, until I found a really good place to hide, at first I was staying close to Captain McMillan, but since it's impossible for him to die I moved a little further away. I stayed up the early hours of the morning to finish that mission, I didn't want to go to bed without finishing it.

Yeah, that part was easy for me except the last part where you had to wait for the helicopter and you were surrounded by, like 1000 enemies shooting at you all the time. When I first played that mission, when the helicopter came I forgot about MacMillan and quickly went in the heli but then I remembered and went back, only ending up killed in a second. Remember the mission where you had to chase Zakhaev's son? That mission frustrated me so much. I kept losing him all the time and getting bitten by the dogs.

The sniper mission was strange because it was so contrasting, the sneaking stuff was fairly easy, and I did it without alerting any enemies, and was very calm, but the last bit was insane, there must have been at least a hundred Russians
I managed to get Zakhaev's son okay, but you're right about the dogs, they're so annoying. The sensitivity of the stick is weird, it seems as though if you push it but it goes off into a direction it doesn't melee the dog. |

I know, you didn't even have the right weapons ( I got the enemies's weapons) but then I needed the sniper again later in the mission (enemies were very far)
I didn't have much problems with the analog stick though often I ended up killed by the dogs. Did you like that mission with the nuclear bomb? I loved it. Also I loved the aftermath part, I think it showed exactly how it would be being in a city right after a nuclear bomb was dropped. Cool and realistic game overall. |

Yes it was interesting, very unexpected, I can't believe one of the characters you play as actually dies in game! Very neat trick, something quite original as well.

Not yet, I've got university exams at the moment, so I thought I'd better leave it until after I had finished, (I got CoD4 to play after I'd finished one exam, and played through it in about a day so that I wouldn't be distracted) since I do little work as it is!
But I'll be getting it in the next few days, I'm very eager to play it, especially since I haven't played H-L2 yet, since I haven't had a pc apart from a laptop for years, but I've got Half-Life. A couple of friends have it and they say Portal is excellent |

Portal is cool and funny. I don't wanna ruin your experience from HL2 (one of the best game ever made IMO) so I'm not gonna talk about it. It's one of the most worthy games in the market. I got it the next week it came out and I won HL2, Episode 1 and Portal (the last level was insane)
I never play TF2 since I don't have Live but I bet it's cool also. You should really get it when you have the time/money. BTW I finished SoF yesterday. Pretty short game Ever played Virtua Fighter 5? |

Not played Virtua Fighter for years, last time was VF2 at Manchester airport! To be honest, I haven't had a fighting game since Soul Calibur 3, and apart from that I've only had Tekken 3, SC2 and a few older ones like Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, etc
The games I've got at the moment on 360 are; CoD4 Gears of War Rainbow Six Vegas PES2008 FIFA07 Forza 2 F.E.A.R Prey Tomb Raider Legend King Kong Skate Flatout: Ultimate Carnage Bioshock Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion I'll be getting Orange Box, and maybe Assassin's Creed, but I'm really not sure if I'll bother with it |

Whoa, I have like 3/4 of those. Looks like you're a soccer, FPS, action, adventure fan just like me. Assassin's creed is pretty cool also. Is Pro evo 2008 any good because I was thinking of buying it?
I just can't wait for GTA 4! It will be pretty awesome. I probably will buy it the day or the next day it comes out. I'm a big GTA fan. |
