I could believe those rumors if you replace Xbox Handheld with Blu-Ray Xbox 360. It needs to happen, and it needs to happen soon.

I'd be pissed if they did, actually. If they're going to go ahead and do that, what about my 360, I should be able to mail it in and exchange for a Blu-Ray.

Well, I worded that poorly. I don't think they will actually roll out a Blu-Ray 360, but I will wait for a Blu-Ray player attachment. Similar in design to their HD-DVD player.

I don't see any difference in blu-ray, hd and regular...so I don't care much about that personally.

It is said that they will have a BR add on like the HD-DVD add on.

I dont see a need for them to do that though. They already know they lost in the way of format. Now they are losing in terms of sales worldwide. They are getting scared. GeoW 2 and Banjo are not going to be enough. Next year you WILL see a Xbox 720 announced.

Don't worry. I'm sure it'll allow you to play Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Gears 1 and 2 on it. Just like how the 360 lets me play everything I would not play and doesn't let me play Otogi 1 or 2.
