Sorry, but I'm not going to blow 520$ (plus 50$ per year, and god knows how much for extra bullshit, like fixing RROOD, and buying a cooler) on one and a half games (Gears of War is a half, because, as I said, it's a good "side dish" if I buy the console, but not another reason to buy a console) and good online service.

Saw some trailers for Too Human and it looks kind of good, but, like Dead Space, I'm going to wait and see what critics and users are going to say about it first. However, unlike Dead Space, this is more important, because if Dead Space sucks, I just wasted 60$, if Too Human sucks, I just wasted 410$.

I don't recommend you purchase an Xbox 360 at this point, but don't ever buy a cooler for any of the console systems. Ever. In most cases, they do more harm than good, and the payoff doesn't warrant its purchase.

Also keep in mind that the Xbox 360s all come with a three year warranty to cover any issues you might have with the RRoD in new systems (the frequency of this problem has significantly dropped in newer consoles as well).

The way you portray your point of view makes it sound like you're trying to convince yourself not to buy Microsoft's console, so what made you interested in the Xbox 360 to begin with?

We understand that, but there's no point contemplating and revising it on an gaming [section] forum, because someone's going to think you're trolling and flame you for it. I paid quite a big price for my 360 and at first I was worried I'd wasted the money and could have bought some anime/manga with it instead... after a few weeks I'd realized it was probably the best decision I had ever made. Then again at the time my Wii never got played much and I didn't have a PS3 [I have a PS3 now, but my brother got all the games I have on 360, no point playing it] so yeah.

Maybe you should wait for a price drop? It's certainly understandable that you want the most bang for your buck so obviously you're going to do some research and make sure you buy what you want. I'm just waiting right now, plus I don't have money right now either. I'd say weight each pro and con for each system then just make your decision. Aim, calculate, and shoot baby.

Sorry if I seem like I'm being stubborn, but I've been under the belief that you only need to have a PS3 or 360, and that it's unnecessary to get both. I believe this because most games a multi, and hardly any are exclusive. These posts aren't changing my belief, either.

I abandoned my topic, because I didn't make myself clear enough, and hardly anybody knew that I also had a PS3. Therefore, people said that the Xbox 360 had "great games like Halo 3 , Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. I already feel bad enough for not clarifying, don't make me feel worse.

I was interested in the Xbox 360, because some of the games, like Mass Effect, Gears of War and Halo 3 looked good. I wanted to know if they were as good as they sound, and I wanted to know if there were any other good games on the 360, because I'm not going to spend nearly 600$ on 3 games.

No offense, but right now, all I've heard is that Halo 3 isn't as good as it looks and that Too Human might be a good game when it comes out. I'm sorry if that's not making me want to buy a console right now.

Mass Effect is a shooter/RPG, and it supports my occasional need to play RPGs. I didn't say that I dislike RPGs, just that I play them rarely. I have played Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Sprits, Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts ll, Digimon World 2, Digimon World 3 and Adventure Quest. I also plan on playing Final Fantasy 7, although that's only to see if it's as good as everybody says it is.

Wow, after seeing me list them all, I realized that I played a lot of RPGs. So, fine, if Lost Odyssey and Fable 2 is THAT good, then I might buy them, too.

-Oh, god. I really didn't want to turn this into a fucking console war. However, I do have to ask, besides GTA 4 (which there is no way in hell that I'm buying it, regardless of which system), what games are like that?

-There's only one worthwhile game, out of the list, that uses online. Here's the list, with question marks meaning games that I'm questioning buying:

1. Gears of War (that's one)

2. Mass Effect

3. Lost Odyssey (?)

4. Fable 2 (?)

Good online is nothing without games.

-So basically, you're saying that Halo 3 isn't anywhere near as good as it sounds? Great, that's one less game on the already small list.

I'm doubting a price drop. Has the Xbox 360 dropped in price since it was first released? However, I'm really just considering getting it on Christmas, instead of trying to buy it on my meager budget.
