You can surf the web, have REAL themes, free online and stuff. Sure, not as many games, but ps3 is just evolving. Remember, on ps2's first few months, games weren't that great? Well look at it now. It's simply the best console. Way more games than 360.


give the ps3 another year, and watch, it will come close.

Consider your 400 bucks eaten for no good reason. Blu-ray is, according to some sources, losing when compared to HD-DVD. So that's money thrown away. Surfing the web? That's why we have computers. Free online? Wii has it too, nothing new. And themes? If you count that as a reason to buy PS3, you are retarded. "I CAN CHANGE THE WAY IT LOOKS, YAAAAYYYYYY"

Now, you said that PS2 has more games out than XBox 360. Congratulations for comparing two consoles from two different eras. PS2 was released in the year 2000. And when was 360 released? Why, that was in the year 2005. That's five years of difference. Of course there are more games for PS2 than for the 360.

Now you said PS2 is the best console. I dunno about that, even as a proud owner of a PS2, but however, it is better than PS3. DVDs are the way to go if one really wants to watch movies with a console. Blu-ray is just a pointless addition to the price of the PS3. PS2 has more games than PS3, PS2 is cheaper than PS3 and the games are getting cheaper by the moment since PS3 kicked in. So one could say that with PS3 coming out, PS2 started to look even better than before. Thanks, Sony!

I paid $500 for my PS3 which plays all PS2 games, all PS1 games, and doesn't give me RROD's, comes with free online play, no disc read errors, and all the multi platform games the 360 has + MGS4, Warhawk, Folklore, Uncharted, and more to come like Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, inFAMOUS, and the next project by team Ico.

You can also play the whole "360 launched 1st" card for the PS3's defence as well.

Also, Blu-Ray allows for True HD. If it comes on a normal DVD, 1080p would have to be compressed which destroys the quality which defeats the purpose of 1080p. HD DVD also allowed for this, true, but it had less space overall at 15 gigs per layer while Blu-Ray has 25. Obviously you're not going to choose an inferior product when both cost the same now are you? Of course not.

Besides that, now the PS3 is the same price as the 360's elite, just more reliable. Another problem is that pretty much all of the 360's major titles can be purchased for the PC as well. Thanks, Sony.

So? Okay, my sources were wrong, so be it, but blu-ray alone won't be saving PS3.

blue ray ( ps3's game format ) alows for more space. Devolopers didn't get to used to ps3's tech fully yet, so its natural for a ps3 port to have a few bugs and glitches.
