What's so good about MGS?

Actually, I've been wondering myself. Is the MGS series any good.

You see, this is what I'm planning if the series is good enough. I'll sell my 40 Gig PS3 on Ebay or Amazon for $300 or $350. With that money, the PS3 MGS 4 bundle should only cost $200 or $150. This will be worth it for four reasons.

1. Backwards compatibility

2. Dual shock controllers

3. 40 more gigs of memory

4. Metal Gear Solid 4

Since this is my first time playing the series, I also plan on ordering the MGS bundle (for $30 or less) on the PS2 and putting MGS 4 aside for a little while.

So, yeah, tell me now if the MGS series is worth all this, if it isn't, then I'll just buy the 60/80 gig PS3 by itself.

If it is worth it, thought, then I'll spend hours playing the entire series, which consists of 4 games (6 if you count the subsistences), and it (along with the ever so awesome 80 gig PS3 with dualshock controllers) should be, hypothetically, worth the meager $230 or $180 or even less than that.

If you plan on getting a PS3 with higher GB capacity, you'll probably end up with the MGS4 bundle anyway.

This bundle you're talking about, can I get it on amazon.com? I would like to get look at it and hell yes, MGS is worth twice the price that you're getting it for. Consider it a little more than a bargain. It's about action and espionage, the story line is great (although hilarious at times) and the characters are just....amazing to sum it up. Game play mechanics feel just right and fluid and tons of extras in games. Each game steps it up fundamentally and you'll get to see distinct styles in each title.

Also, which games come with the bundle, every mgs game made to date?

Just remember, give Raiden a chance as his own character. He's not SUPPOSED to be like Snake which is why every1 hated him. He wasn't Snake.

Personally, I like Raiden more than Snake. Also, the MGS Series is a great series. It seems to confound some people though. Supposedly too confusing. I have yet to have this problem.

I like Snake... But I also like Raiden more then Snake (And I liked Raiden BEFORE he turned into the ninja.)

I know you did, mayn. I like Raiden's character art, but I hate the character himself. I mean, cartwheels... what?

Raiden is fine, it's the transition of switching characters that pissed people off. Honestly I never gave it a second thought but then I saw all the complaints about it. It's not that big of a deal and it shouldn't be made out to be one. There are things that could have been far worse than a temporary character change. Cartwheels were probably for some amusement though.

Sorry but I dont plan on buying any MGS except Portable Ops. Is that any good.
