With all these half assed games like Super Sluggers and such coming out, I can just tell that Nintendo's trying to buy time for their next project, which is too early in development to announce yet. Here's to a new Zelda! I'm fine with delays and development waits, it's just that I want some Evidence that Nintendo's actually up to something. GameTrailers chose the Nintendo conference as the most disappointing event of E3 2008. I mean, Wii music!? Is that really the best thing they could think of showcasing?

If you're so attached to Wavedashing, go back to Melee, or, even better, a game that was INTENDED to be played that way, like street fighter II. However, if you didn't play Melee at all, go buy Brawl right now*.

And don't talk to me about the speed reduction, It's not as slow as the original N64 SSB

I'm of the first crowd of gamers that you meantioned, and my responce is a little similar to what LM says. Though I enjoyed the game a lot more then what he seems to have, I was disappointed with it and it just doesnt have the longevity that Melee did.

Its all well and good to say play with friends, its hella fun. Yet once you play with 3 other mates, you'll never want to play with the CPU again.
The lack in speed is definately noticable but its not exactly the worst point. It takes some time to get used to and when I started I found myself trying to pull off familiar combo's but would display some two move flop instead. The only thing that is needed is to slow down your own game play according to the speed.
My main gripe with Brawl is that it was packed way to full with things that really were not needed resulting in the most disgusting load times I have seen in pretty much any Nintendo game ever.
The biggest waste of game space? SSE, not only was it rather dull to play through, it was way to long. The Adventure mode in Melee, which was maybe 2% the length of SSE was alot more enjoyable and replayable.

I could continue, but I'm getting bored with my own argument.

The reason why so many people like the game, but get bored with it is simply that they were tired of Melee. Think about it this way:

When brawl was announced, we all went "Holy crap! A new Smash Bros!" Later on through the developement cycle and numerous delays, we all trained with Melee, to be in top shape for the epic event. When Brawl finally came out, we all lined up outside the stores and picked up our preorders, then sped home as fast as we could to experience brawl for the first time. The problem was that, although they wouldn't admit it, many, many people got sick of Melee during the "training period". They subconciously thought that brawl would end their suffering at Melee's hands, and give them a completely different experience. After an "OMG it's brawl" period that lasted about a week with most people, they subconciously realized that they were playing a sequel to a game they had been sick of since a little while after Brawl's announcement.

That's why you're bored with the game.

I'm not bored with Melee, just the same as I'm not bored with Brawl. The thrill of the game just isnt the same as it was with Melee.

Nah, loading times arnt bad all of the time. But when it takes just as long for a menu screen to change as it does for a brawl to load, it starts to get frustrating.

Is Wii Fit worth buying? I don't need it to lose weight, because I have a good body and all, but more of the fun factor. Is it worth it?

im fu***** mad at nintendo now. They wanted to make a fun console, it is, but question is : Where is the fun cool good games ? What about another mario or metriod? im fucking pissed now.

Im thinking about selling my wii..why ?

Because, im tired of being the one who missing the fun games like, Soul calibur 4, tony hawks project 8, i sick of it .


Anyone else feel this way?

I feel the same way like you SJJason.
The fact that I have DBZBT3, Brawl, Kart Wii, Galaxy, etc. makes me not sell it because I admit, this game fucking rock.
But I am thinking on buying a PS3.

It seems that most 'hard-core' or more-so traditional gamers usually end up buying the Wii and one of the other two consoles on offer. When it comes to the main-stream gaming market, the wii just cannont function as a full time game console without becoming worn out.

I enjoy playing my Wii for things such as Metroid, Resi 4, Brawl and Sports. However I also love my games like CoD, which while the next installment will be All Platforms, I will probably stick to the 360version. Because I know it works well on that console, but could quite possibly suck on the Wii. [For example, Medal of Honor: Heros 2 on the wii had the multi stripped out of it for the Australian release].
Not only that but I won't be able to play the next Resi installment on the Wii, sure I got Chronicles which is all fun and 'House of the Dead' like, but its nothing in comparison to the next legit story-line sequal.

My advice is, keep your Wii to play with friends and family [my family still love to play Sports and Guitar Hero] but invest in a 360 or PS3 [having sampled both, I would say 360] for your more so-called 'hardcore' gaming.
