I told Sloth and many others this but this is the PS3's year. And the Wii was meant for parties and families, that's it.

We'll it is, It has a lack of games most people want, I mean it has many games the 360 has but I rather get the 360 versions for X-box live, plus X-box has more exclusive games and of course a better online. The PS3 has allot od good games coming out but their not here yet meaning its not the better than the Wii until maybe the end of this year, we'll see if some of the games deliver of just aren't triple A games.
The Wii has Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Super Smash, No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4/UC, Okami, Super Paper Mario, Metriod 3, Warioware, Raving Rabbits, and Mario Strikers.

Even with a lack of games the PS3 is still head and shoulders above the Wii. The system's online marketplace alone put it above Nintendo's system, and as an all around multimedia system it's worth it for the price when you break it down.

Don't get me wrong, the Wii has good games, but Nintendo has used up the larger portion of their tricks. Let alone the Wii isn't particularly user friendly (think getting online without a wireless connection).

I'll exit this thread before I start a more aggressive argument. =\

^Yes the PS3 Value is higher than the Wii but the Wii did do one thing right at the start, it had games. That is what a Game system should focus on games not gimmick's or Blue Ray (yes its a get new type of media but make some games too)
Im sure the PS3 will be worth 300 bucks by Christmas but does this make it better than the Wii depends on Nintendo if they make a 2 player Mario game, Animal crossing has a great online, and Pikmin 3 comes out then the Wii may still keep its lead over the PS3.

I have seen a lot of poles online and it seems to be the same everywhere. Everyone is buying more than one system. The categories are as followed and in popular order.

I'm not a fanboy of any particular game company. As far as the 3 next gen systems I own a Wii and 360. I waited online for a PS3 and after hours of boredom I walked into the Best Buy and bought a 360 and never looked back. I have never been happier. When I got the rings of death I returned the broken system with my warrenty and got an Xbox 360 Elite for 20 dollars more. So basically I bought an Elite for about 400. Wii took 2 months for me to get which is ridiculous. I am happy with that as well. I have about 15 games per system. I heavily favor xbox due to the online community. It's real nice going online and being able to play with your friends and many others countless people who all have headsets. The greatest thing sony has ever done for me was make the PS2.

Electron no offense because I like you... but rubbing it in your friends face that he has a broken xbox is pretty gay. However if it has been longer than 2 weeks and he still has a broken xbox than he does deserve to get made fun of. The xbox is fully covered for the next 3 years. Any system from 06' 07' will be replace with a new system within weeks. Also Halo 3 is not even that great. It's a solid shooter but I don't think it is the one game people base their decision on buying Xbox over PS3. I strongly believe the achievement system and online play draw gamers to buy non exclusives games for 360 over PS3. For instance Call of Duty 4 to me is more enjoyable on 360. I play Gears of War, GTA IV and Forza 2 a hell of a lot more than Halo 3 by the way.

^yeah most gamers have either the PS3 or 360, not both. I'll get the PS3 once the price drops to 300 or 350 if it comes with a good game. But 400 bucks, I just dont care about blue Ray enough, Im more of a gamer.

My last point: I have owned a Wii since the first month of its release, and the only major title it had at the time was the most recent Zelda game. Oh, it had Wii Sports too, but that came with the console. The former of the two doesn't have any replay value that would even merit a comparison between Playstation 3 games out at the time.

Wii's are popular because of the character licenses (Mario, Zelda, etc.), its approachable price, and Nintendo's gimmicky motion sensing controllers that Sony felt the need to copy.

Now I'm done.

Not quote as Sony did NOT copy the Nintendo controller.

Sixaxis is NOT the same thing as the Wii's pointer.

The Wii Remote acts as a dumbed down and limited use Mouse.

The Sixaxis is used mainly for steering vehicles snd such.

Yes, but regardless it is 'motion-sensing,' and it feels tacked on. I feel the Playstation 3 would benefit from not having the tech in its controllers.

It works very well. Especially in Warhawk.

I understand electron. To me you sounded sonyboy in your post. I was never saying it wasn't ok to make fun of your friends. I was saying it's gay to pick on their choice of system. You should be happy you have a friend with a 360 that way you get to play both PS3 and 360. None of my friends have PS3 and I really want to play Uncharted!

Also my friend is a dumass because he has been sitting with a broken 360 for over a month now without even packaging it and sending it back! He could be playing GTA IV with me now but noooooo!
