UK being last? Fuck that.
Nintendo Finland hasn't even announced yet when the game is going to be released over here. But meh, I ain't getting it, I suppose. Money low, interest low.
And it's always like this, games coming way too late, sudden delays in release dates ONLY in Finland, re-delays and more re-delays. I hate the importing of games to Finland.
And self-importing games is an impossible feat for me to do. At the moment. But maybe, maybe in the future, if any good games worth importing myself even exist anymore.
EDIT: June 30th in Europe, you say? Pfft, more like July 30th in Finland is my guess.

We're getting it over here on friday, still debating weather or not I want this. May pic it up sometime in the future I guess.

NoE has always been notoriously bad for late release dates, I've heard of games being pushed back as far as years and some games just never surfacing at all. NoAu is meant to be connected to NoE as far as I know, yet we tend to get everything way earlier these days. ^_^

Sorry to double post but this is pretty big news according to Go Nintendo http://gonintendo.com/?p=17033 Super Smash will be out this year??? Now this to me is a bad thing I rather see it in a year when
1) Had more time to work on the game
2) Worked on making the Online better
3) Got more time to add more characters
4) We dont need the game this year we have Metriod, Mario G, One Piece, No More Hero's, Guitar Hero 3 and a hell of alot more good games coming out this Fall we don't need a rushed game now, but Im hoping for the best and hope they did not rush the game in anyway.

Considering it was suppose to be a launch title i don't think it was rushed at all. If it's done than it's done.

^??? No Mario Galaxy and Dragon Quest were launch titles that got pushed back but Super Smash's first release date was set at May 07 but pushed back to fall 07, but I think its too soon unless the online features is going to suck.

Im preeety sure it was announced at E3 that SSBB was slated to be a release title, to help kick off the online games part of the Wii, once they decided that neither online or SSBB would be ready by then they pushed it both back to seperate dates.

As for it not going to be good if it is released this year? I highly doubt that, there is an entire developement studio devoted to this game and this game alone, with every working hour of the week of the week spent on developing SSBB. Its not the same case as a company that has several games in the works all at once.

Also, how would releasing it this year result in a sucky online feature? I dont really understand where you draw that line.

Jerrod would be perfectly happy if no games ever come out as long as it's "In working progress". Duke Nukem Forever must be making Jerrod wet himself uncontrollably as that game has been in development for 10 years now.
Jerrod don't be stupid. They aren't just going to release a game just because they feel like it. They pushed up the date because they are obviously able to release the game at that point. Duh.

^No I hate games being pushed back but this is the game we all know will make or break the wii for hard core gamers, Super Smash Melee was the best game on the GC so its sequel needs to be just as good we dont need another Double Dash game were the last game was better than the new game.
And no Spank Super Smash has not been in the works that long and was originally suppose to be released in May/Spring 2007.But they changed the date and are still working on the game now which is a good thing seeing how that means there's a chance Sonic will be in Brawl.

There is a lot of attention to Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy as well you know. Brawl isn't just the only hype going on for the Wii.
If you do call yourself a "Hardcore gamer" (I'm not by the way), then you have one linear mind resting your whole attitude on one game. Hell, why even buy the damn console if you want just one game?

Also personally i think Mario Kart Double Dash is the best Mario kart game to date.

SSBB hasnt been in the works for how long? I never mentioned a date, I only mentioned last years E3. If it had absolutely no work done on it before lastyears E3, there wouldnt have been a video for it right? The ideas were already in motion, the characters the plot, alot of work had already gone into the game even if it was only background work and 'architectural' design. It certainly is a pre-existing franchise after all.

The latest volume of the Hideo Kojima’s podcast has been translated. While we have already heard about the Snake Vs. Zombie event, we didn’t hear that Masahiro Sakurai was also at the event. Mr. Sakurai is the director and game designer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl.Sakurai and Kojima talked about Brawl, and apparently the two have been playing the game together.

Kojima makes a few comments about Brawl in general saying that the game feels very complete, it is a lot of fun, and if Nintendo released it now it would probably sell millions of copies.

We also find out that during their matches, Sakurai played as Mario and Kojima played as Snake. Kojima jokes about how he couldn’t bring himself to beat up Mario out of respect for the character. I guess if I ever play Kojima I know who to be!

Is this what you were refering to? It doesnt have the release date that you suggested (I dont remember what it was anyway) but it does say they are happy with how the game is shaping up to be. It may feel 'very complete' but I am sure they will tweak alot of things til they are satisfied with it. Remember Sakurai is thought of as a perfectionist when it comes to this game, I doubt he would let anyone mess around with the title and release it before its upto his standards.

As for Super Smash Bros being a hardcore gamers game? Pffft, have you noticed how different and simplified the controls are to that of a normal fighting game? Sure there are tournament players and there like out there, but that doesnt mean the game is only for hardcores. The game was designed so that everyone could just pick it up learn the controls in a moment and have some fun.

Im getting a 360 for Halo 3 end of story, the game is going to be that good, and yes I'll be getting other games too like Mass Effect, Fable 2, and Banjo -Kazoo 3.

As for the Wii I got it for no game by its self, I wanted Zelda, Paper Mario, Mario Party, Mario G, Super Smash, Metriod, New Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and what ever else looks good.
