I thought it was also only a rumour that Wii-Sports will be a package game, well that saves me some cash. I counted today and there are 10 GC games I dont care to keep, while still keeping about 12 (either for collector reasons (Zelda, Metroid), general interest, or because the games are my sisters), and another 10 PS2 games which are collecting dust. Hopefully that should secure me a nice haul on my Wii.
From what I remember reading, the Japanese SSBB site is still getting updated, however it is only the English version that will wait til next year fot the updates. On the Japanese site you could also vote or suggest characters that you wanted in the game, though I think by now, there wouldnt be much chance of requests since the game should be in the later stages of developement.

I'm not sure if it's rumour or fact. Hoping it's fact but latest news since the Leipzig convention is that Wii Sports will have 30 titles on it. And all we know is the Baseball, Tennis and Golf.
That Japanese character vote thingy for SSBB, i remember that. The contest voting for a character was only for a limited time and it closed about 2-3 months back. I think Sonic was one of the higher ups that was voted for.

Two or three months ago? It couldnt have been that long was it? E3 was only about that long ago, though I know what you mean. People from another forum (where a high number of people know Japanese) were spamming the request thing and showing others what to put in so that they could hopefully get some characters into the game.

Though I'm not that good on Mario Kart since I hardly care about it, I'll wait for November 23rd when Jump Ultra Stars comes out and I'll battle Jammy.

I think that here we have to actually order the Wi-Fi connection from overseas, I havnt seen anything about it at EB. Not that I could even use it being out in the country side. I should really look into it some more.
I have actually lost interest in most of the DS titles that have come out, mainly of note would be Metroid Prime Hunters. Maybe it was just getting hyped up about it then having to wait over a year to get the game, or maybe I am just growing out the gimick of the DS, but I cant bring myself to spend money on any new DS games.
The only thing that has graced my DS in the last few moths would be Fire Emblem and Harvest Moon, both of which are GBA games.

I was going to get Star Fox for the DS but got the Wi-Fi USB thing instead, I can't wait for the DS version of Harvest Moon, though no goats make me sad.

Re think your stratedgy. SSBB isn't coming out the same day and won't for a couple of months afterward. If you manage to get a Wii on launch, you'll be left gameless except from Wii Sports and the 100 credit VC voucher you get given.

Well Jammy thats not confirmed news but its possible but no packaging has been announced apart from the console with 1 controller and nun-chuk expansion.
I heard that Metroid Prime 3 Corruption may miss launch due to problems but it still seems slated for launch.
The games i will be getting for launch will be Zelda Twilight Princess, Red Steel and possibly Rayman Raving Rabbids (that looks great)
Its a shame that SSBB didnt make launch. Satoru Iwata did announce at his E3 2005 Keynote that he was pushing for it to make launch but i didnt expect it would reach launch! Do you think SSBB Wi-Fi will work because Sakurai stated that he was having problems with it.
Plus i wish that nintendo and rare come up with some agreement to put its snes and n64 on the virtual console. I want to be playing Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie on the VC.

Star Fox Command, i really don't know. Sure it's nice seeing something which resembles Star Fox Lylat Wars but that got old and easy quite quickly. And from the video review i watched of this game i won't be rushing out to get it.

I know it's unconfrimed but Nintendo Power said it, so might aswell follow a Nintendo sourse even though sadly it hasn't got it's official word from Nintendo themselves.
I'm sure Sakurai said that SSBB online he hasn't delved into yet. I personally at the moment can't see it being online but i won't doubt everyones hopes.
And actually, that Bano Kazooie statement. According to Rare's official site, it actually says that Nintendo own half the rights to Banjo Kazooie, so it might appear on VC.

Well from what I read back when E3 was still fresh in our minds, I thought that the if Sakuri wasnt on board they were just going to recreate SSBM to utilise Wi-Fi, so I would think that they would try to make SSBB Wi-Fi also. Unless that is the another reason it wont see launch? Oh, I just re-read that as no third party.

The no third party online until may 2007 is a bummer but Iwata said that they can add that feature in any time they want using WiiConnect24 so there could be hope for red steel and call of duty fans but i doubt they will bother.

Wiiconnect24 won't enable games to be online in the future. It's just going to be a download, patch thing which fixes bugs and such in games and what not. But maybe it will add extra content into games, but for online not until May.

Reason is, Nintendo have said that they won't be giving out the information on how the Wii will utilize online until May 2007. Nintendo of course know so they can utilize online for their games but third parites are struck out until May.

But in an interview with some developer from Retro Studios (MP3 Corrpuption), he said that they may add a multiplayer/online mode in the future for MP3

I dont see why MP3 shouldnt have online capabilities anyways, Retro Studios is a Nintendo owned company (much better then Rare ever was >_>) and I would have thought let in on the online capabilities. Well I guess most of this doesnt bother me anyway, since I am not anywhere nere a WiFi hotspot.
