It's been argued over on 4chan for a while today. /v/ posters came to a lot of good conclusions:

1 - Company suing is a bunch of fags.

2 - NES Lightgun

3 - Nintendo 64 Z trigger.

wait why is nintendo being sued? I know the first time it was because they gave an epiletic kid a sesure with the game Super Flashy light fest, which really should have told the parents not to get the game in the first place, but still why is it now?

Immersion or some company is saying that Nintendo ripped off their
trigger concept (the button on the bottom-side of the Wii-mote), but
they make office things and this specific item was to work with things
like PowerPoint. Anyway, they patented this trigger idea in the
beginning of 2005 or something.

But as pointed out before, Nintendo has had triggers on controllers long before 2005.

i don't know, i read through the case file after i found out here, and even though thier case is about as strong as a polio crippled ant, should they win, the wii would be taken off the market, and nintendo would have to give the company 3X the "losses" that the company has suffered. if by some mirical of hell they win, nintendo would all but be out of buisness.

Because the company's pattin was filled sometime between 1995 and 1997. like i said i don't think they will win but there is always a chance.
