The Omen has one of the best soundtracks ever created in my opinion.

I'm of the opinion that the Lord of the Rings soundtracks (all three of them), in particular, merge together beautifully... and, for that matter, I'm a rather large fan of mostly anything John Williams produces.
I rather like the Matrix soundtracks as well, though I feel they have some techno elements (not something I'm a fan of) and are a tad febrile in some ways - sometimes even the calmer tracks are too abrupt, pensive, vigorous, and meandering for my tastes (as in, listening to the tracks as a whole makes portions, like the intro or the ending, unnecessary). I feel the first track - the "Trinity" or "main title" used at the intro of the film - is my favorite - but still sort of suffers from these flaws. But it's good music to me nontheless.

[/thread] But seriously, this is one of the greater soundtracks of our time. The music in this... epic (yes, I think it's an epic) is beautiful and fits the action beautifully. It's music that you always remember. Hakuna Matata! |
