BD Horror News - 'AvP' Franchise Dead, But Predator Lives On?

It looks like Fox wantes to put the AVP franchise to a end and a Predator 3 now. Thank God because the AVP movies sucked and i hope Arnold Schwarzenegger returns once he is out of office.

Predator anime, DO NOT WANT. Besides, Alien 5 is what I want, though Sigourney Weaver is pretty old now too, so... my heart lives on with the Aliens game coming out.

It's good they're interested in returning to Predator, it's about time. Fox seem to be care about the AVP movies seeing that they turn down James Cameron Alien 5 screenplay.

the AVP movies weren't bad (Although I haven't seen the 2nd). They were just what they were supposed to be.

The AVP movies would be a lot better if they had a better director and screenplay. I hope Arnie returns because he has not been in a movie since 2004 and his last movie was pretty crappy (Around the world in 80 days). I think this will be a good comeback much like Rambo 4, Rocky 6 and Live Free or Die hard was.

It's been comfirmed on a movie news site that there is a good chance that Arnold will not be involved with this movie, but who knows. Money talks.

The AVP movies didn't meet potential in the end, a human fighting alongside a predator???

That scene alone destroyed it for me. AVP has huge potential to be better than either predator or alien alone but not having a super good direction fucks it up. There's all types of chances for great fight scenes and interactive story lines to link up. The second one is superior as the predator is in its true nature as a lone warrior but was the most of it gore over great characters and story?

At first I was thrilled to see it, then started wondering what was so great about it. It's true it had great fight scenes, some of the best I'd ever seen in fact. But it just doesn't compare to the story line of the likes of Alien and Aliens or Predator in my opinion. Almost as if they put too much emphasis on the gore and less on the actual story.

I'd love to see this movie, if it's worth my time.

My biggest problem with the AVP movies was the fact that they were so afraid of letting the Predator's survive that they died in such sudden and tossed in ways. The deaths felt like they just tossed them in there to make sure they didn't upset the alien fans by allowed the Predator survive.

Predator was awesome well the first one was. The second one was iffy and only the second AVP was good in my opinion so I'm iffy about a third predator.

I like the second movie even thought it was silly with all of the action scenes. The one thing i did not like the AVP movies was the people in the movie where careless and borning unlike Dutch or Agent Keys.

I hope return one day for another movie. I can deal without him but having him back would make more money at the box office.

I personally enjoyed both films allot but still found the 1st to be the best.

Edit, obviously I was reffering to Predator. As far as AVP goes, I hated both equally because where 1 excelled, it had downfalls where the other was good at. For instance, the 2nd was gory but it had a badass Predator where as the 1st concentrated less on gore but was horrible all around.
