A Predator 3 script in 1994? Unlikey much?

But I am very pleased to see this article, although I don't trust BD that much. I hope Arnold returns. The franchise could use him again.

He wrote a screenplay back in 1994. He said something about it back in 2004 (Robert Rodriguez talks 'Madman', 'Predator 3', and 'Desperado 4' possibilities!).

Did anyone notice how dark the second movie was?

What we need is a great story with good characters to string the events along, not superfluous gore with midnight black environments so we can barely see what's going on. We also don't need predators fighting alongside humans, what I'd like to see is a group of hunters or "marines" take them on. If you notice the best of the predator and alien series was with a movie that had either a group from the army or from the marines or something of that nature, it seems to be what works best in my opinion. These latter films simply don't contain the subtle horror that made the first ones so great.

Take Alien for example, the guy climbs down the latter and looks for the alien, yet can't see it. Suddenly it jumps at him and it's over, now that scene scared the crap out of me. I'd like more of that.

Alien 3 was the best Alien film. Not like any of them are scary anyway.

I do agree about your gore bit. I say leave it up to their imagination which can be far more twisted than Hollywood's allowed to show anyway.

Aliens was the best one in the franchise IMO. Alien 3 was good, but Aliens just had more of that action and military powa that I was lookin' for.

Aliens was every bad American action movie done right. Also, the marines lacked experience with the Aliens they were just stereotypical American soldiers running in and shooting what ever the fuck moved and Ripley actually knew a lot about them, so...

There's not allot to know when it comes to animals. You have a gun, you shoot it. Hard to do but the Aliens weren't exactly small. They're (marines) trained for that stuff. I've heard the "Ripley experience" argument before but I still don't believe a group of trained and experienced Marines would have faired as badly as they did in the film.

I'll give ya the 1st attack but after that, the remainder of the group should have walked all over the beasts. Also, she only saw 1 of them and only once in the 1st film and she blasted it out of an air lock. That doesn't count for much experience.

These Animals can easily rip any full grown man limb from limb, having a tongue which can pierce through skin, flesh and bone easily and most of all they bleed fucking acid, highly concentrated acid which melts through pretty much anything.

The Marines had experience after the first encouter, but there was lack of ammo, fear of dying [Who the fuck would want to be killed by them?] and just a lack of morale in general. Srsly, if it was an entire army I wouldn't disagree at all, but it was one squadron of like... twenty soldiers.

Maybe I just hold the military in high regard or maybe Hollywood doesn't hold them high enough.

I know how deadly the Alien creature is but ask yourself this, who do you think would fair better in a jungle againt a Lion, a Trained Marine or a Civilian?

Lol, if this civilian was experienced with lions and knew their weak points, the civilian.

Aliens is definitely better than Alien 3, better characters in my opinion. I put Alien 3 on par with Alien if anything.

Anyway, they had the advantage. Lions don't use camouflage against enemies (usually), Aliens always rely on that. They are stealth killers, they don't just barge on you like some idiotic beast. They wait, they stalk, and they strike for the most part. Marines were getting picked one after another but it wasn't your ordinary safari hunt either.

Also, a marine could shoot an alien and they could still die (due to the acid, but of course you know that).

Even the predators were killed by aliens, it's not hard to believe a group of marines would live along against them.
