Cables also pretty awesome. But again... most of my comic collecting came during mid-ninties(for US releases) meaning my favourites tend to be guys Like Ben Reily or Nate Gray, who are now as dead as one can be in Marvel.

Although personally, I've always seen Spider-Man as a single character, with Mary Jane as both a love interest and a pillar of emotional support. Kind of how they were before they got married.

Being married though opens up new possibilities for stories. Marriage, by nature, is complex and difficult; why the writers would wanna shit can it when, with Felica Hardy standing in the wings, is beyond me.

Topic for discussion about OMD:

Is fans vehemance against it the fact that the marriage was undone, or is it to do with how it was undone? Anytime I can think of that marvel tried to off MJ, it was always in large scale, elaborate schemes, like a plane explosion or a deal with the devil. If it was something relatively normal, would there be as much dislike for it?

Both. People liked Mary Jane very much, and she was a great character. But Aunt May wanted to go, Peter was just guilt-tripping. And now, what, Mary Jane has super powers? This is ridiculous. Plus, it removed all of the work of the greatest writer they ever had. There's a reason comics escalated from the Bronze to the Golden age. People generally like now-style comics against 1960's style comics. Now ASM is just being written by people who want to be Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, but can never, ever be.

Mary Jane should stick around yeah... if the split was handled in less dramatic methods, I think it'd be taken a little easier, but ultimately, people do want her back. Which admittedly, is kinda funny, since... there's no Spidey relaed stuff that comes to mind aside from the comics where their married =\ I would actually think writing a marriage would be fun, though...

Just remember, it could always be worse. They also wanted to bring back Gwen along with Harry... as much as I love Gwen, that would be blasphemy.

Just curious, also... whats your opinion on the Ultimate line?

A lot of people dislike Ultimate Spider-Man, but I tend to enjoy it... even though I do cringe when someone calls someone else a "herb." But usually, the dialogue is punchy, and they do the drama pretty well.

Hahahaha, bringing back Gwen. That would have been the last straw.

The X-Men found him and then he was shot by Bishop for some unknown reason. He had lost his powers cos of MDay and was in a deep coma. Magneto had his new acolytes(i think) help heal Xavier. And Xavier is having memories, new ones about his past and the involved Essex/Sinister experimenting on him in his young days and his friend.

I buy stuff I can, y'know, to support things so that they don't get cancelled. However, I acquired my massive Deadpool collection after it had all been out of print, so it had to be online.
