Oh man please tell me you're not serious...please tell me you're not serious. The strong point of emcees are their lyrics, I can tell you the best rappers pretty much beat any other kind of musicians when it comes to rhyme schemes, wordplay, metaphore, similies, punchlines, storytelling etc.

I hold nothign against lyrics rhyming and don't doubt there ability to rhyme. However, I doubt their ability to choose TASTEFUL words.

I can agree with Sloth while disagreeing with him. Rap can be good, but that's only if you actually look for it. Some rap, although I don't like it much, I can listen to. Other I think is just pure shit.

Though I love the acronym(sp?) for RAP (Retard Attempting Poetry).

In fact, most isn't. I can list more good Emcees than I can list bad ones. Ever listened to songs such as ''The world is yours'' ''dear mama'' ''hail Mary'' ''Words of Wisdom'' ''Nature of the threat'' or ''Shook ones''.
