I always thought it was funny how many times they did a overhaul on godzilla's design in the godzilla movies

Showa's design was to 'corny' as the Millenium's design was more desirable. Heisei's design made Godzilla look more menacing, if you will.

Desghidorah was the one defeated by Mothra...though I find it almost insulting that Grand King Ghidorah lost to Mothra as well, even if it was that Mothra's strongest incarnation.

Oh, but he did. He was completely powerless against Armor Mothra, as he was firing off gravity beams left and right, only for them to just bounce off Mothra's skin, and the energy shield that he had earlier was useless against Armor Mothra's new attacks. It was extremely one-sided.

Let's not forget GODZILLA lost to Mothra 2 or 3 times. Gigan in GFW also lost to Mothra.
