Apart from introducing Anguirus, the movie was a total lackluster film. The dubbing was particularly awful and the fact that on repeated occasions, Anguirus was heard with Gojira's roar (vice versa a couple times), shows that not a lot of effort was put into the film on either side of the Pacific.

Kiryu was still owned by Gojira a number of times, even WITH the Absolute Zero Cannon, and at one point required manual pilotting.
