Default Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series

Who else here is into these books? I'm into them big time. I have almost every book, and some of the pre-Diskworld stuff he did.

What I really want to ask is how these books have affected you, if at all. They gave me a new outlook on life, and a more cynical/philosophical view of things.

Anything like this happen to you guys?

I have a friend, who's very into T. Pratchett's series. I have Small Gods somewhere, but I guess I'm too fickle to read them. Though I love quotes from these books. They are utterly funny. Like:

"By and large, the only skill the alchemists of Ankh-Morpork had discovered so far was the ability to turn gold into less gold. -- (Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures)"

XDDDD

Bloody hell. It's taken 4 weeks to get any replies on this topic lol

They're a great series of books. If you can get your hands on one of them, do so. They keep me entertained for hours.

I'll think about adding it to my list of books to read after I finish the 357 page one I am currently reading and another 300+ book next on my list.

What is it about?
