That's true, but there has been a big revival amongst younger newer viewers. I've never seen as many kids walking down the street with Cena or DX ect t-shirts on them ever.
I think for them it's still kick-ass, but for us oldies (well older than them lol) unfortunately we noticed the difference. Ah to have the mind of a 9 year old.

I remember some people saying that the good WWE ended in 2001. I have to disagree. I watching Vengeance 2003 on DVD the other day and I loved the match between Lesner, Angle and Big Show.
