Jemmelle's Vault At first glance, a cave in the forest, shrouded by branches and vines. However, those who enter are met with a bizarre sight - rather than being a dank, muddy cave, littered with dying foliage and broken bones, a treasure trove meets the eyes of visitors. From one wall hangs an array of decorative weaponry, never used in battle, though adorned with all manner of jewels. From another, majestic tapestries and rugs, interwoven with shimmering threads, and beaded wih precious stones. Various coins litter the floor, in spite of having no real value - their purpose is purely aesthetic, to satisfy the demon girl's eye. Similarly, jewelry that has never been, and never will be worn hangs from protruding rocks, seemingly untainted by the mossy surface of the cave walls. A small pile of cushions lies in one corner, surrounded by patterned sheets ... this is where the demon girl sleeps, at her most peaceful, not at all protective towards the items kept in the cave; there are so many, it is not noticeable if just a few go missing. Some could compare this cave to the den of a dragon, though the being within has no need to protect her riches. They are but talismans of her past successes, and do not add to her wealth in any way. A symbol of pride, rather than a symbol of status. ~*~*~*~*~ No sound echoed around the cave - the thick walls made it still. It was almost as though the items within refused to move under the gaze of their owner ... it was all she seemed to do. These items were of such value ... or at least, the processes she had gone through in order to obtain them. They were the talismans of the last thirteen years, the things she had worked hard to obtain. Her body was stretched out across the various cushions. She was not particularly tired, but she felt it necessary to conserve her energy, at least for a short while. "This was my destiny, wasn't it?" She murmured to herself, her eyes shrouded as always. It was not a tone of regret that filled her voice - but simply one of casual musing, as it always seemed to be. She shivered a little - the serpents that adorned her were in movement once again, perhaps restless as her mind was. It was almost impossible for her to understand why she had been given such an ability - surely, the reign over these small serpents should have belonged to a demon many more years her senior? She shivered a little more - she had forgotten the serpents were thinking creatures, too. She almost had to wonder what their intentions were ... but of course, their thought matterns were controlled, at least somewhat by her own. She could think of no better way to pass the time. "There ... " She murmured, not particularly concentrating on the items in the room anymore - but rather, the pathway of the serpents ... ones which most would call taboo. She needed to ensure that only she could control them - if ever they moved, without being told to do so, she realised that many a plan could be ruined. One turned its flattened head to face her, as if questioning, though the female was too stricken to respond - whether this was within her own pattern of thought, or by the trails the serpents were tracing across the lower half of her stomach remained to be seen. She did not seem able to move ... not unless any items, aside from her own body, and the snakes, was disturbed by an outsider. The creatures had long since left her legs, tracing patterns that not even most men would dare.
