OOC-Four days left until another training session can begin, and I may as well go with a fight.

Corey surveyed the mountains around him, the clear, warm air at 500 feet at elevation was perfect for meditating. He sat down, and began meditating. Wind blew his brown hair and teal clothing around, but he remained in the middle of meditating.

Suddenly, he felt a large power level nearby. He broke off the meditation and turned in the direction of the sense.

He knew that someone was there...

"There's... something weird about you. Weird, but familiar..." a voice responded suddenly. Feet firmly planted in the grass, a man towered over the boy, his muscular arms folded over his broad, armored chest. The light armor reflected the sun's beaming light off of his chest; a black cloth wrapped around his waist separated the white top of the armor with the beige bottom. Under the protective clothing, a red gi fluttered with the growing wind with each of its arms cut off, up until the shoulders--the almost careless rips of the clothing made it appear as if he lost the arms of it in battle. Over his left eye was a white-colored machine that connected to his ear, the glass screen of it that actually covered his eye matching his red gi. Moving with the gi, black hair atop his head moved left and right, just reaching down to his mid-back and spiking upwards at the top with a few bangs over his forehead.

Abruptly, one could notice a slight twitching movement behind his back, followed by a few more of matching intensity. Just as fast as the first twitch had came, a furry object moved to his side, as if it were looking towards the little boy standing a few feet in front of the Saiya-jin. Following the actions, the man smirked and dropped his hands--covered in gauntlets, though they appeared more like ones a superhero from a comic would wear, rather than a Saiya-jin--from his chest, to his sides. If he wanted to fight, it was obvious he didn't want to just yet.

"Heh, I thought as much. You're not some ordinary boy that got lost, are you?" the man questioned, crouching down to the child's eye level. His lips curved into a smirk before he spoke again.

"A Saiya-jin, just as I am, hm?"

"I....actually am a Saiyan. So there are others beyond what I have learned..." Corey spoke, but he was thinking at the same time That old sage was correct about my Saiyan heritage and how much there are out there... I didn't believe him because he told me after "Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza..."

"A loner, yes, but a Saiyan. I actually have only a campground and a memory of my dysfunctional foster family."

"I'm also on my own. I was stranded here not too long ago. Freak accident on another planet," the Saiya-jin commented, smirking a bit more. Moving his right hand from the knee it was placed on, he held an open palm out towards the child.

"We should stick together. You know, Saiya-jin back-up, right?"

As the other Saiyan reached out for his palm, Corey was about to take it... however, his mentor had told him to be on his guard... so, just in case a throw was executed, Corey channeled a little ki to his feet so that he could stablize himself. He then took the hand of the older one.

"Corey." He stated his name as it was given to him on Earth, having dropped his real Saiyan name some time ago.

"Hmph."

The silent mutter came quick and low, when Corey's hand touched Mato's. Wasting no time, and instead of throwing a punch like someone would first think, he turned his body 180 degrees, still holding the boy's hand. With more than enough might needed, the elder Saiya-jin tugged the child's body and attempted to toss him up into the air.

Just as Corey thought, the gesture was not a handshake, but rather, one of hurling another through open air. Thankfully, he had prepared the ki needed to stop this momentum. After about thirty yards, he had stopped his trajectory with a minor ki shockwave. Then, he called out.

"So, if it is a fight you want, then it's a fight you will get!"

Without any more warning, Corey charged his opponent with an aura surrounding him.

OOC: Aura Smash used.

6,000 ki - 250 ki = 5,750 ki remaining.

Mato's right foot arched back behind his body, when he saw Corey flying down towards him at a tremendous speed. With his current speed, the boy would find it almost impossible to dodge in the middle of the attack, and there were numerous ways Mato could have went around it.

But he didn't. A light tint of crimson ki started at the soles of his feet, before flaring up around his body. From far away, the ki resembled fire, flickering back and forth in random directions a few inches from his body. Underneath his boots, the grass and a bit of dirt was pushed back when Mato's body flew into the air, matching Corey's momentum. The ki that danced on his body moments before had begun to encase his body in a whirlwind-like effect.

Once it connected, the ki would give enough energy to nullify the adolescent's attack and add in a bit of his own damage.

OOC: Saiya-jin Senpuu. 6,000 - 300 = 5,700 ki remaining.

Corey saw that his opponent was attacking with a stronger attack than that of his own, but he could not move to take a different trajectory. The two attacks collided, sending a shockwave throughout the area, but the struggle was only momentary, as the Saiyan Senpuu sliced through the aura and connected, sending him flying back when the damage was done.

For a moment, Corey contemplated what to do... then he flashed back to his training days.

"Don't overuse it. Don't go higher than 2x power. I'm teaching you this attack in case..."

The Kaioken.

Without a second thought, Corey increased his power twofold. With this increased potency, Corey charged his opponent, intent on punching him.

The fist ran through the air, hitting nothing. Where Mato once stood, the wind blew. He wasn't anywhere to be found, until a soft chuckled could be heard from above Corey's head.

"You're too slow. I don't care how much stronger you get, you'll never touch me."

Floating several yards in the air, the Saiya-jin's body was tilted parallel to the ground, so that his front faced Corey. In his suddenly cupped arms, a purple orb of ki began to form, growing slowly until it touched the palms of his arched hands. He tossed his arms forward at the boy, yelling.

"GALIC-HO!"

This is too much. He's blindingly fast... even Kaioken x2 is useless... strength may be good, but sometimes, speed is better... Corey thought, making a mental note to expand the force of the Kaioken when his strength increased more.

He saw the purple energy wave coming towards him... Without a second thought, he began powering up a Kamehameha wave.

"Kamehame..." he said quickly, not really having enough time to go through it. Abruptly, he cupped his hands at his sides and finished the sentence. "HA!!!"

The blue beam was directly aimed at the Galick Gun that was headed for him. Corey couldn't anticipate what would happen, but he was going to shoot first and ask questions later... but of course, his Kaioken released as he fired it, the time limit used-up.

Even though the Kaioken had ran out of power just after he launched the attack, it was still enough to overpower Mato's wave of energy and engulf him in the massive blue wave. The resulting collision trigged an explosion, which caused smoke to cover the area where he was hit, and where he fell--of course, anyone could hear that he did hit the ground with a loud thud.

"This damn kid... He has alot of power..." Mato groaned as he rolled over onto his knees, pushing himself up. A bit of his armor was blown to pieces, and he had a few bruises on his body, but the Kamehameha wave didn't hurt him too much. Once he fully stood up to his complete height, he seemed back to normal with no signs of fatigue, and that same, sinister smirk back on his face.

"Come, boy. We're only just getting started," he taunted, adding in a slight wave of his hand.

OOC: Damn. Mato turned out more like Vegeta than I expected. >_>

OOC: Last Post for the day. Also, unlike the (only) battles I participated in last era(s), I won't give up this time...

I guess I gave it too little credit... Corey thought, surveying the damage he had caused. Of course, he had seen Mato's taunt. Deciding to attack again, bearing in mind his opponent's intense speed, he charged with a kick.

OOC: Cool.

Mato shifted his weight, so that the kick was sent between his side and his left arm, stopping at his underarm. It caused a tiny bit of damage, but not enough to cause him to lose balance. He didn't give any time for Corey to escape, as he brought his right arm up towards the child's face, and extended his index finger. Crimson ki charged at the tip of his finger, before being fired at the boy's forehead.

OOC: Shokushi Happa. 5,525 - 200 = 5,325.

The boy was shocked. His opponent was firing a laser at his forehead, point-blank. The only thing he could do was to lean back as far as he could. He did so, and the beam scorched its way through the hair, singeing it, and giving some minor burns to the forehead.

Corey then aimed for a punch to the face, swinging.
