SS2 Vegeto

I'd say c) or d)...I guess I'll go with c). I think it might be more dramatic to prolong my entrance into anything serious, and although Island needs to be involved, and those loose ends tied up from the end of his last chapter, I think the timing might be better to wait..one more at least, and further flesh out some of the other groups you've started on.

Also, great chapters, as always. I think you portrayed everyone quite well. Also, I see myself as kind of being a neutral character, who will help or destroy anyone, simply based on the events that are currently occurring, or past interactions. Also, if it's not asking too much, if in the future I am on the battlefield myself, fighting for whatever cause, if that line I used earlier was actually included in some form, that would be ever so awesome. XD Who knows, maybe I can show up to deter Punxx's crusade against the northern empire myself, considering Goku's words on the matter. Awesome fic.

Chapter 6: A Crusader is Born

Having obliterated the opposition - in sort of a weird way, but whatever - Nikushimi continued his way through the desert.

CLIFFHANGER!! Scene moves to Kei in the #MFG HQ.

"WHADDAFUX?!" Nikushimi yelped. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'NO MORE SCREEN TIME UNTIL NEXT CHAPTER'????"

Elsewhere, Kei was laughing, while eating strawberries off Ranny's belly button.

"What's so funny?" Ranny demanded, putting on a scowl. She didn't like being ignored.

Kei considered telling the truth, but that wasn't really his style. But just when he was about to make up a lie, he realized he was too bored to do even that.

"Heh heh... Nikushimi has fallen right into my trap." He explained.

"What trap?" Ranny asked curiously.

"Well... I knew Nikushimi's plan from scratch. And part of the reason is... I was the one to set it in motion."

"What plan?" Ranny asked. Kei mentally facepalmed.

"Nikushimi is heading towards the Land of the Banned, in an attempt to locate and retrieve an ancient artifact that will grant him unbelievable powers, according to a prophecy that he thinks comes from Duo's times..."

"...well the truth is, I created that prophecy..."

"You've been alive since Duo's time?" Ranny asked, her face full of innocent curiosity. Kei facepalmed - again.

"No, no. I created that prophecy myself, and through my agents in Nikushimi's ranks, I made sure he found out about it..."

"So there is no weapon?" Ranny persisted.

"Oh, there is a weapon alright..." Kei chuckled. "But that weapon is a lock, a seal that keeps an ancient Demon bound... the moment someone takes that weapon, the seal will be released, and the Demon will walk free upon the lands of MFG... a Demon... almost as strong as Papa Chang himself..."

"Wow!!" Ranny exclaimed, massaging Kei's back with her toes (writer's note: don't even ask me what position those two were in, I don't even want to know >_>).

"Yes." Kei continued seriously. "Once that Demon is released, he will destroy Nikushimi the instant he comes out, so I won't have to worry about him coming after me with his new powers. And then, since the Demon needs a virgin sacrifice, I will offer Amerowolf to him and..."

"You think Amero is a virgin?!" Ranny asked.

"Well yeah, I monitor all the guys here on #MFG closely, and she never seemed to show any interest in them, plus she'd never betray us and sleep with someone outside... right?"

"Well... I agree with you on the... 'guys' part, but... aren't you overlooking something?"

"...>_<."

"Anyway, thanks to my loyal subordinates, Nikushimi has been stalled, so there is still plenty of time to find a new virgin... and keep her off your hands."

"Yeah well... might want to start searching soon... and don't really bother looking in any nearby cities... countries..." Ranny said cutely, tingling Kei.

"Grr... fine. I'll have... HerrGeiger look for one - he hates women anyway, a virgin will stay one with him."

"I thought HerrGeiger was dead." Ranny said, surprised. Kei would have physically facepalmed this time, was Ranny not keeping his right hand pleasantly busy.

"It is the truth... but there's a catch... the reason why I can't go and take the weapon myself - aside from the fact that I'm bored, of course... and that's where you will come in, my sweet, innocent little muffin..." Kei thought, this time keeping his malicious chuckle to himself.

"Laugh all you want, you ignorant fool..." Ranny thought, maintaining her outwardly charming, cute innocent expression. "But when the time comes, it will be me who will rise to the absolute power!!"

"Wow... I never thought I'd have to resort to that attack..." Amerowolf panted, leaning heavily on Masked Felix for support. "We really underestimated Nikushimi's powers... well, at least he's dead now."

"May he find forgiveness in death's sweet embrace for his sins in life." Felix muttered seriously.

"Rest In Peace, Nikushimi." HerrGeiger added his own prayers for Nikushimi's apparently deceased soul.

"Hey look guys." Amerowolf pointed out to the sky. "It's a pidgeon."

"I wonder what a pidgeon is doing here... well aside from the fact that it's a perfectly natural place for a bird to fly." Masked Felix wondered.

"I smell plot device." HerrGeiger grunted, as the pidgeon landed on Amerowolf's hand. Only then were the three #MFGers able to discern a piece of paper tied to the bird's foot.

"It's a letter..." Amerowolf opened it. "It's from Kei!"

"Read it!" HerrGeiger ordered eagerly.

"Dear fellow MFGers,

You have done well on your last assignment. But now you must separate and act alone, for the missions I am about to bestow upon you are of crucial importance to the survival of our state."

Everyone gulped at these words. "Keep reading!" Felix urged Amerowolf on.

"HerrGeiger must go and find a virgin, then bring her back to the headquarters."

"I hate virgins." HerrGeiger growled.

"A virgin... might want to start searching quickly, Geiger. And like... far off from here." Amerowolf grinned.

"Amerowolf must hurry back to the HQ and keep Ranny busy, and away from the virgins HerrGeiger brings."

"Now that's something I will enjoy." Amerowolf giggled.

"Felix has the most dangerous assignment of all... a spy of ours, Star Platinum, is held hostage by Island of A Hundred Million Condiments. He must be retrieved before important information may be leaked.

"What the fuck... I mean, sex with Ranny and looking for virgins?" Masked Felix groaned. "Why do you guys always get the good stuff?"

"Well, that's life..." Amerowolf said, grinning. "It looks like we won't see each other for some time..."

"Yeah... good luck guys." HerrGeiger said.

And with that, the Three #MFGeers split paths, each heading to his own destiny...

Just one day ride on horseback north of the Senate's grounds stood the greatest structure on the Lands of MFG outside the Emerald Citadel that housed the Overlords. It was called simply 'The Cathedral', a grand monument that towered hundreds of feet above the Earth, inspiring pure awe to anyone whose eyes might stray to gaze upon it. As it was built atop a large hill, rooted deep within the solid stone, it was visible from miles away.

The Cathedral may not have been as ancient as Nikushimi's Towers, and its construction might not have been shrouded in as much mystery, but it was just as imposing and magnificent.

Today, it served as the religious center for all the people of MFG, the grounds surrounding it were considered hallowed - no weapon was allowed to be drawn anywhere near the Cathedral under penalty of death; an edict dating back to the time of its creation. It was the perfect place for refugees of war, or more simply those who desired peace of mind, to seek solace.

However, there were a few who still remembered the structure's original purpose. It was built as a mausoleum to house the remains of Duo, the First Overlord of MFG, after his soul passed away from the mortal plane and transcended to the realms of Divine. It still contained his body, persevered intact by magic long lost to humanity, within a golden sarcophagus hidden underneath a giant marble statue of him, as tall as the cathedral itself - Duo was a great Overlord, but he was always kind of vain.

The man kneeling before the great statue, clad in silver-steel full plate armor covered by a deep-scarlet cloak with a white cross in the back, was definately one of those who remembered. And he was no other than SS2 Vegeto, the Lord of the Senate.

"My heart is in pain, Great Lord." SS2 Vegeto spoke softly, his face nearly levelled with the giant statue's toes. "And my mind is plagued iwth uncertainty. What is it that must be done?"

"Fear not, child." A voice boomed from the beyond, echoing around the walls of the sacred sanctuary. SS2 Vegeto bowed even further - he knew he was in the audience of something that transcended all forms of mortal existence.

"Wars have riddled these lands since the dawn of mankind. Yet we must ask ourselves before we decide whether to drop the sword for the sake of peace or not:"

"Are these wars evil?"

"No."

"It is mankind that has been plagued by evil, and war is a measure neccessary to purge that evil."

"You slaughter a village. You destroy a city. You drown a country in its own blood. Yet does mankind cease to exist? Does it fall into centuries of eternal darkness because of your acts?"

"No."

"You ignore the evil rising from within. You do not raise your hand, and let rust feed on your blade, as evil slowly ascends from the depths of Hell, and let it gradually consume the lands of MFG."

"Then mankind will burn in damnation for all of eternity, as darkness reigns supreme."

"Locate the evil, and root it out, whatever the cost. That is the way of a true Holy Knight."

"Long story short, between two evils..."

"...you choose the lesser one." Vegeto muttered the conclusion of the phrase. He slowly stood up, bowing once more to the statue. He had been Enlightened now as to what course of action he had to take.

And if that contradicted the Overseer's verdicts...

...so be it.

Island was sitting in his chamber, studying his mysterious book. Finally, he sighed softly, and after caressing the cover, he opened it. A bright light erupted in the chamber...

He was never seen again in the lands of MFG.

SS2 Vegeto rides to war... but against whom?

a) The #MFG, for no apparent reason.

b) Punxx, to stop him from destroying Nikushimi's lands.

c) KuroiKenshi, to strike at the root of this conflict.

*sigh* As per request, Island was removed from the story. Let's leave things at that.

Also, something important:

When tallying the votes, only in case of a tie and if it serves as a tiebreaker, the vote of the person whose character is directly involved in the current events will count as two votes. In case of a tie in which doubling the value of his/her vote will not break it, or if the voting options do not refer to a specific person, I'll either include both of the tied options in the next chapter, or just randomly pick one if the former is impossible.

For example, in this case, if the three options were tied then the one SS2 Vegeto had voted for will be considered the 'winner'.
