Members who read my fics know that I've made six fics, and I've created a week schedule for all of them. Once I finish one of the fics, to fill up the extra day should I:

A. Use that day as a break
B. Create a new fic or
C. Create another fic, but not another DBZ one

vote. Please don't just post here to say "screw your fics' or something like that, I realize all the problems with my stories, I don't need bashing and flaming.
edit= I'm posting this cause i'm almost finished with the Goten fic and the How DBZ was expected to end fic.

Wait until you finish maybe two more of your fic's until you start a new one. Make the new one an original story though.

Proof-read the one you've finished. You never know where, some weeks/months along the line, you'll think 'hmm, maybe I should add this.' or 'I can develop that.'

I've seen what you've said in your threads, about this being the best you can make it - believe me, when I first wrote Dragonball KK, those were my thoughts, too. If you really want, I'll link you to the original fiction -_-

There's always room for improvement, because your writing style and judgement changes over time. So take a bit of a break, but keep checking out whatever you finish, there's always stuff you'll end up wanting to tweak. It's like an unwritten rule. xD

I'm already planning on doing some stuff with finished fics (power levels, world maps, ect.) so I guess proofreading would come with it while I'm in the threads.

Fair enough - that's the kind of thing. Anything you can think of that'll generally elaborate on the fic's content, and experience for the reader.

See how far along ya are with the other fics. If you're positive you've done all you can, do the same to your other fics, but keep coming back to the one ya finish - like I said, ya never know what your future self might come up with. Lol.

Well once I'm done with 2 of my fics, and I'm done editing them (wonder how long that'll take) then should I fill the gap with one more fic? The other fics I'd still be working on new chapters for, so I wouldn't be editing them yet, and once I'm done editing those 2 finished fics, then there is nothing else to do than work on chapters for the 4 remaining fics and after finishing them, editig the chaters, and I would probably have time to work on jut one fic after that, making that 5 fics in toal, while right now I have 6.

Figured I'd explain my vote. You've got heaps of fics running right now. I always think quality over quantity so the less you have going the more concentration you can give to your favorite fic. Don't stop writing just don't split your time so much.

Trust me, it's the way to go.

I say, once you finish a fic you should make that another break, since you have too many fic's and you can't give your full attention to all of them at once, recently your grammar has gone down, and I think your rushing so you can get it done.

I'd rather wait 2 days more and get a fully prepared chapter to read than have it done on the day and have a rushed chapter to read. It's up to you in the end, but thats my opinion.

It takes me three hours to write one chapter,it isn't like I write 2 at a time, lol. Even if I did take 2 days to write a good chapter, I'd be constantly interrupted by my life, lol.
edit=kay, I haven't been very clear here, I should've frazed it more like this: "I have an awesome idea for a fic, how many of my fics should I finish (including those last touches once I've made the chapters) before writing this new one?"

That's not what he's saying. What he's saying is to take your time. Instead of taking 2 hours to do 1 chapter and have it somewhat mediocre, take your time and plan out your fiction, scrutinize every detail and make it truly interesting.

I've taken over a month just to plan my fic, I haven't even begun writing and probably won't for another couple weeks at least. I want to make sure it's as close to perfect as I can get it before I post it.

Get what I'm saying?

You shouldn't even consider writing another fic for a certain franchise unless you've finished the previous fic, even if it becomes a short story you have to finish it before starting a new one.

Your problem is you start a fic, don't finish it, and start another, don't finish either of those, then start another.

You have too many fics on the go. I'ld recomend changing your scheduale. Instead of using each day for a certain fic, you should in theory use each week to focus on one fic.

You may get them done faster.

In terms of the actual day your post refered to, take a break.

I get what your saying and I got what he was saying I wasn't saying what he was saying I was just only saying something to one of the things that he said...

I know what your saying, but each fic gets as much effort and attention as they would if there was only one of them. I try finishing one first, but when I have a fresh idea in my head, I have to write about it beore the idea rots like a tomato.

If you have so many ideas in your head (I know we all do from time to time when it comes to writing), the obvious thing is write or type it down so you can come back to it later. You don't necessarily have to write it in straight away, it will make things look rushed.

Which leads me to my next suggestion, maybe planning a little ahead would help. Like having the next chapter or few chapters already done when you post one up, it would take some of the pressure off you and allow you for more flexibility if you get behind schedule or something like that, especially with 6 fictions if you continue to do them like you are now. And as people have suggested already, quality over quantity is the way to go.

I recommend you focusing on continuing and then finishing off one of your fictions, then going to the next one. Focus on it good, proofread it as much as you can, learn from the critique you get from other people, improve your fiction from that, give yourself one week to do all that and you'll be fine, best post the chapter on a weekend too.

My attempt to rewrite it 'http://anime.myfavoritegames.com/com...-epidemic.html', now compare these and you can see I went from 'lacking' to 'too much', when it comes to description at least ...

And now I suddenly want to rewrite the fiction yet again, I wonder if I will every finish it ...

Eh, it's not the best example on the forum but I hope I get my point across. And one last word thing, too much description can be bad at times, and might even bore the reader in some special cases. Just my advice to you, from personal experience, though it really depends on who's reading and their personal opinions.
