Yeah, I'm having all around computer issues. Still on the crappy back-up computer I mentioned before. Which relagates me to using IE and Netscape Connect (AOL based browser). I don't even think this computer could run FireFox properly (it's very old).
I'll see if I can mess around with something in the IE settings to get it to work. |

Oh, and it's narrated, btw. Quote:

Not bad at all Island, the concept seems pretty slick. I'm not the best of writers around here, but I'll just let you know of a few things that irked me as a reader.
Not too many faults here apart from for some reason it doesn't really flow all that well. For example: It held total control of the economic standings in our multiverse. Its military influence knew no boundaries. Sections like that are broken up by the periods here and there, which really breaks the flow. A semi colon in between the two sentences could keep it running more smoothly. And also, one veeeery nit-picky detail: ...upon millions of soldiers from hundred upon hundreds The first "hundred" should be hundreds I think. Post the full chapter soon, it looks fairly interesting. |

About Semi-colons: You think so? Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
About 'Hundreds:' Typo. Thanks for pointing it out. I have a general idea where I want to go with the rest of the chapter. However, there are a number of tasks I still need to complete. First, I need to fix the mistakes you pointed out. Then, I need to write up descriptions for the individual characters. The main cast should be 4 -5 characters, followed by a few who come in later on. The description of Reproda Lucidus is simple enough. I have a vivid image of the streets in my mind. It's just the matter of characters. The Master Baron needs a name which I'm considering to include in the previous article or not. A few advisors and other supports will need to be done eventually. Though, that's not my biggest concern. My biggest concern is how I write everything beyond 001. The first chapter should open up the city of Reproda Lucidus. Beyond that, I have no idea. I don't know if I want to follow the main cast or jump to another aspect of the city. Then, I'll need to figure out how I want to organize the chapters? Arcs / Sagas, maybe? However, right now, I'm thinking quite a ways into the future. For now, I just need to work on a strong first chapter. Something to catch attention. Bah, ramble. =/

Sounds good to me.
For the love of all that is good in this world, make sure you develop every single one of the characters. I hate it where characters in fiction/movies/games are just sort of... there, for the sake of being there, and have little to no development whatsoever and are generally weak all around. I know you've probably thought of this, but try planning out the next five or so Chapters/Episodes/Whatever in basics - just a paragraph or so - before you write and post them. It'll get yo creative juices flowing and also you might go "Oh snap!" and think of a badass idea or fill a plot hole if one has arisen. It sounds like you have a lot of this thought out though so I'm probably wasting words, lol. |

The main cast, I know what they'll do, but I don't have the specifics of who they are. Thinking as I write this, it might be a good idea to touch upon the histories of the individual characters in the first few chapters. In fact, dedicating the first several chapters to introducing Reproda Lucidus might not be a bad idea. I want my readers to see what I see when I think of Reproda Lucidus. So far, I've explained the history of Reproda, as well as how it has functioned up until a few years before the fiction began. I plan to go into detail on what Reproda looks like. Then, I need to go into more detail on the district that the main cast lives in, their living conditions, etc. Lets not forget details on who the characters are, as individuals. So yeah, I have my work cut out for me in the first few chapters. (Personally, I don't like reading a fiction where the author doesn't give descriptions immediately. I like it when I vision what he wants me to vision, how the author wanted the readers to see their writing. Ya know?)

Wow, thread is dead. Time to bring it back a little.
So, it seems I've been doing as I usually do. Starting too many projects. I still have the massive Altered History project to do. The rest of Saga 6 and all of Saga 7, plus the 8 (currently planned) Gaidens that go along with it and the Chronicles of the EDF spin-off series as well as The Legacy Continues sequel series. I've got two other on going DBZ Fanfics to work on, plus two originals (one of which I hope to get published). And in recent weeks I've tacked on even more. I've had a fanfic project in the works for a while now for Robot Alchemic Drive and that's been pulled back up to 'active' status. I recently did a little more work on my Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. fic again (like, just a few hous ago). I've spent the last month or so ironing out ideas for a Shadow of the Colossus fic. And just the other day I worked out a basc synopsis outline for a 6 story ReBoot fanfic series. Let's also not forget the Xenosaga 4 story I want to write. Plus a Haunting Ground fanfic, as well as a Digimon fic and a Pokemon/Digimon crossover story still in early consideration phase. And I'm already working on Vae Neco, my novel for this coming November (NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, if you don't know it go check out Nanowrimo.org). And, of course, there's that unfinished and barely begun Hand of Fate original from a while back that I'd like to return to sometime. Oh, and I'm still trying to work on my one-shot for the competition. So I'm currently feeling a bit... overwhelmed, for obvious reasons. I blame my overactive imagination. I always have more ideas than I have time to implement. And I fell so in love with the AH universe and my OCs from it that I can't help but to want to build on and expand it more and more, beyond the originally planned 7 stories. My current plan, though, is to finish up Sagas 6 and 7 and then take a break from AH for a while while I work on some other things. But I've been considering breaking from AH, and Dragonball, at least for a bit, once I've completed Saga 6. I'm worried I wont come back and finish the series if I leave it for too long, I seem to have a short attention span most of the time and I'm honestly surprised AH has held my interest so readily for such a large endevour. But I think that goes back to how much I've fallen for the universe and the characters. So I likely will come back to it in time, I just don't like letting people hang for long periods of time if I can avoid it. But at the same time I feel as though if I don't get one of these other stories finished, either one of my originals (Ragnarok (the future novel), or Graveyard Shift (which will likely be posted here) or my RAD, SotC, Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., or the first of the ReBoot fics I'll never fully get my focus back. Every so often one of them calls me away from trying to work on Saga 6 to iron out a few points of details or pound out a few paragraphs. Well, I feel a little better now that I've had the chance to rant. :þ Honestly, I don't know where I'm going to find the time to do all of this. I've already got so much planned and so much I want to do that it'll take me several years to finish it all. And it seems every day I just add on even more. I think I need to set aside a day or week or month or something to writing. Just writing. Nothing else. No TV, no movies, no video games. .... Yeah, like that would ever happen. I can't even do that during NaNo. So I don't feel quite so alone in this, anyone else in a similar situation? Misery enjoys company and all that. |

Hm. I'm ot so muh overwhelmed as underwhelmed >_>;; I have a few ideas for fics, but, frankly, I lack motivation to write them and originality to make them stand out... it's becoming rather annoying...
Can anyone give me any advice, on how to.. get started?

What I like to do if I have something I want to write but no motivation is music. I bring up music, I start playing it, I open word, think of my ideas I want to work on, and then I just start writing. That's about the easiest kick start I have.
If it's a fanfic something else I'll try is to immerse myself in the subject. Like, I'll go watch a movie or play a game or read something related to whatever it is. Anything that could spark interest in getting my own ideas down. |

I am working on something, possibly two somethings. I started writing something for Creative writing, but it's expanded into 4 pages longer than the limit thus far since I've been working on it on my lunch hour. Then I started writing about something else so I could turn it in, then it's got the potential to be expanded too. (haha, the plots are a surprise.) |

*jumps out of the blue*
I've just learned my lesson. I've made a character. A very nice character. Actually, so nice that he's almost perfect and therefore... UTTERLY boring. So the attention from him is now being diverted to his "brother" who was initially supposed to be only a part of supporting cast. =__=;; I think I'll make him scared of dogs or sparrows, or something. I just need to revive the protagonist x.x *evaporates out*
