One thing I'm beginning to notice around here is that a lot of people will read the fics, but leave no C&C.

If nothing else, this can be discouraging to the newer writers, who for one, need the advice, and two, the attention helps keep them motivated. I used to be most guilty of this, but lately have been opening up and commenting, trying my hardest to help my fellow writers improve, as well as helping me at the same time.

So please - I BEG of you - not only read, but leave your .02 as well, let these guys know your opinion, where you think they can improve, and hopefully this place can be one of, if not the most, active sections on this board.

Machiavelli totally hit the money again. We all need to leave a little reply. Right now I don't even care if it's a 5 word phrase, just something. I don't care if it's an in depth critique or just a note to say that it's been read. It's what we really need right now, replies. But at the same time we need a steady flow of incoming chapters and new fictions. I believe one hand washes the other in this case and if we do one the other will follow.

Everyone go read 1 or 2 chapters each. Bump fictions if you have to, I don't care. Just make it appear more active and then in time it will become more active. No body will want to post here if they think their work isn't being read. The same goes for critics, if your stuff isn't being read you might not write your long winded hints, everyone support one another and trust me it'll take off.

Go for it guys, I'm really happy to see that not only I care about this section anymore, you guys are making it work without me. Very nice to see. I applaud you all for that.

About long/short replies on fics. I kind of hate leaving one-liners. Really. Then it makes author think that you've read the fic just because you were told to or you felt obliged to. I'd rather leave one long comment on one fic, than 10 one-liners... >.>''

I understand what you're saying about quality over quantity, but anything is better than nothing - especially at this point in time. Once the activity level is up again, I think most will begin to be a little more in-depth in their replies, but we just need to get members posting here right now.
Also, new chapter's up. The action's starting, and it's only gonna get better from here.

Sweet as guys, I'm finding it a bit hard to keep up with everyones ficitons but soon enough I'll try to catch up.

I also agree completely with Mac, we need replies, whether they're short or not, we just need replies. We also need more people updating fictions more regularly. I'm trying to read at least a couple of entries per day, it isn't too hard, everyone should try it. Also try reading the fics that don't already have that many replies, that will make them want to keep writing more and more.

Everyone needs to help out here ... we all know who I'm talking about here. The regulars, come on guys. We've started the revival now we just need to kick it in the ass.

Anyway, not that the oneshot contest sign ups are over I can't wait to see those sweet, sweet one shots start a-rollin' in. (Especially since I don't have the pressure of writing one myself XD)

Good job Stray, I can't believe you posted them all up already, that's a hell of a lot of songs, good on ya.

I've been procrastinating a bit lately. I'm wanting to move all the one-shots and poetry and songs and what not into the finished section but it's such a daunting task going through all those fictions. I'll get around to it eventually. When? Who knows. Also procrastinating my one-shot, I don't know where I'll write it, whether it's at my g/f's mom's house or at work. Not sure yet, I have to make a decision soon though.

On another note, I'm moving jobs, again. I know, such is the life of a temp. Hopefully my next one will be more permanent, I think it's about a 2 month contract, so that's good. Bad news though. I probably won't be on quite as often as I have been these past few days. I'll try to make a point of going on every now and then. So hopefully you'll be seeing me somewhat, otherwise it'll be only on weekends till I can get a computer, which is now up in the air.

So ya, that's my sad sad story.

Mhm. Well that's good to hear. Yeah, I agree with Mach, you're the stone pillar of this section. But we'll help too, as Mach said. Things are indeed picking up. I see more activity than before. More stories being posted, read, and commented. But yes, we have a lot of room for improvement. Worry not, Punxx, we'll all pull through. It is, after all, a joint effort. We just gotta kick it up a knotch. C'mon you lazy bums out there, my sig should remind you all of what happens to non-contributors. XD.

I've also noticed the gfx section has basically up and died. It's in the process of a slow revival but we should all help out over there too. Anybody who has done gfx or would like to start should definitely go down tehre and post up some work. Everyone go comment and critique down tehre as well. We've got a few project to be done gfx wise over there but they won't be easy without actual artists to do them. So let's all chip in and help out the entire board.

Failing that though, you guys have to comment here. Or else!

I'll contemplate my return to tagging, but writing in and of itself can be difficult enough to balance with all the damn training I have to do. But I suppose I could spare a few minutes on the couch at night, huh?

New chapter's up, feeling pretty good about it, dropped a big surprise at the end. Time to go comment on a fic other fics and everything. That's what I've tried to do lately - every time I post up a chapter, comment on at least three or four other fics, hoping they've been updated since my last chapter, of course.
