Island [Hashmal] vs. ? [?]

The battlefield was an empty wasteland, devoid of all life. The ground was a dry, cracked, and otherwise crunchy flatland for as wide as the eye could see. It was shaded a light red, nearing the color orange. The sky above existed in utter despair. It was cloudy, with sudden flashes of thundering roars in the background. Droplets of rain fell from the sky every so often, but not enough to be noticeable. The temperature was hot, forcing steam from the crevices between rocks. The few tears that fell from above also seemed to burn with intense heat - As if a hot spring poured from the clouds.

At the heart of the battlefield, there stood a being. Such a creature, known as an esper, was lobster-like in appearance. It was none other than Hashmal - The Bringer of Order. Hashmal was red in color, resembling that of a crab's shell. The face was hidden within a cotton beard - sharp horns jutting from then on. Its muscular arms held large claws which were plated in magnificently designed armor. It seemed one blow would shatter one’s skull. It also seemed that if one was caught between the clippers, this horrific fiend could potentially snap the spine like a tooth pick. Few dared to test it. Its legs resembled that of a horse’s, indicating a speed advantage. Did it gallop? Could it ram? What kind of damage could a kick do? With almost no one passing the first defenses, the power in Hashmal’s legs were never measured.

Who, or what, exactly is this Hashmal?

In esper, Hashmal's species, is one rejected by the Gods themselves. Ages ago, when time began, twelve existed. Soon, one after another, they began rebelling against the Gods. A war erupted, with the Espers being forced into eternal damnation for their misdeeds. Hashmal is the Bringer of Order – The one who was meant to bring lawful order to the universe. However, to bring order, the Gods must die! When Hashmal was defeated, he too was cased into a prison on the mortal universe until time itself expired. Some say, those who defeat an Esper gain their powers in battle. Would his next opponent be challenging for that reason? Or would it be a poor victim seeking shelter from the elements?

Ooc – Accepting any challenges, providing you know what you’re doing. My character is an Esper from Final Fantasy XII. Espers are very powerful, & I wouldn’t suggest joking around for this battle. Hashmal himself is an Earth Esper. Therefore, I will use physical strikes, close-ranged combat, & Earth blasts. When choosing your opponent, I suggest close-range. I honestly don’t want to end up fighting Deidara or another long-ranged fighter. That’d be uninteresting. Also, link an image of your character if you must. Just don’t let it affect your writing ability. Anyway, first one to post gets to fight me. Good Luck!
