Just something stemming from my mind, not to mention I need the practice, please leave me your thoughts on this peace. I plan on finishing it up, digitally inking it, and coloring if I feel like going further.

Looks pretty good I vote that you DO color it or it'll look pretty bleh ya know? Course this is me saying this though you don't have to listen to me. ^_^

It could use more variation in monster qualities. To be honest, right now it feels like your average, happy-go-lucky guy who experienced life as 'the kid with horns and an unusually long tongue'.

Lol, starting to sound like hellboy....I'll design something else after I post up the colored version. I had to adjust the tablet to work with some good outline brush so I could finally ink my drawings digitally without it being so stiff but I do agree teecee. It needs more "monster" detail.

Comments or feedback please...I know it's not that good. It's rather flat and I have a lot of skill to develop before I get to where I want to be but everyone has to start somewhere. Fully colored.

I think it could use more contrast in brightness and less contrast in color. The eyes have an interesting glow effect, but the red pupils isolate it in a way that looks unsettling (for a monster).

Throw some textures on that monster. Think along the lines of scales or slime, right now he doesn't have much of an identity as a creature.

Alright, I'll incorporate some scales from a stock image or something and see how that works out. Man, there is so much for me to learn as far as digital art, but in general I just want to master basic anatomy and the geometric shapes they are comprised of.

Here is an update (Teecee!), any who, here it is. Textured and lightened a bit, I really need to work with lighting and space. My art history teacher tells me those two elements of art are the most important.

The background is incredibly distracting. It looks like a word, and I want to read it. However, at the same time, I'm just as sure that it isn't a word.

Also, I can't if those are wings or horns coming up from his shoulders. Try not to let your lines define your work, because right now, it still looks flat. Contrast through shadows should define your creature and the space if occupies.
