Local Hangout: The Lakefront

To the east of West City lies the lakefront. To it's Southern End is the Bar and the more populated area of it. As it runs north people become more sparse and it becomes more secluded as it runs into the Northern Wilderness.

Having travelled through the dimensional vortex, the tall, blonde spikey-haired figure literally jumped onto the unfamiliar landscape from a hole a good five feet above the ground. He staggered briefly before regaining his footing. A slight morning haze limited the field of vision. Before him lay a great lake, the far edge barely visible in the distance. He stepped warily along the coastline, his eyes darting around the grass plains behind him, and the serene, flat surface of water in front of him. After walking a little ways to the East, he located a rock formation in the distance, the waters rippling near its bottom. A schism in the rocks looked like it could conceal a cavern, as the boulders stretched for a long ways, curving around the lake and reaching further into it, forming a miniature peninsula. A fascinating sight, even blurred in the mist.

A single raindrop fell from the sky, briefly caressing the surface of the lake before plunging into its depths. Soon, the sound was repeated, to be followed by a chorus of similar sounds as it soon started pouring, replacing the fog with an even darker curtain. Unpertrubed and seemingly unfazed by the sudden change in weather, the man looked up, closing his eyes and letting the rain fall down his face and his cloak.

"…..Arh it looks very peaceful here" The man voice echoed thought-out the distance, though his voice was that of a child’s. Only to rustle birds from their jade perch that were oddly different to what the gentle colossal Saiyan dressed in ruby was use to. He slowly walked over to the waters edge with his cerise cape draping the dusty floor, his walk was outlandish; as if he had a limp or was injured of some sort he raised his head into the sky where the heavens gushed droplets of tears upon him. His indigo blue hair became sodden quickly; he stooped at the waters edge. His black eyes were immensely deep and mysterious, they continued gazed into the sky as if he was searching for something that he knew he couldn’t find. His body stance straightened, his arms loose at his side.

He hadn't noticed the figure moving in the far distance.

All of a sudden, without any warning, a loud, clearly visible splash rocked the lake, sending waves to increase the tides slightly more with the rain. The splash after-effects rained down upon the beachgoers, but they blended in with the rain.

In the middle of the lake was a kid lying facedown, seemingly unconscious.

Of course, two seconds after he floated to the surface, he winced in pain.

"Damn, that hurt."

The ominous figure, covered by the black cloak embroidered with the white-outlined red clouds, turned slowly around, his eyes focused on the newcomer despite the heavy rain obscuring any normal eyesight.

Of course, "normal" could not even begin to be applied to this man's eyes - twisting into concentric black circles forming a vortex into a crimson pupil, this was the Rin'negan, the eyes of death and rebirth, the legendary doujutsu that could save or destroy the world. The eyes of Pein, the Leader of the Akatsuki. But this was another time, another world.

However, that didn't make them any less threatening as they locked on their target.

"Who are you?" Pein questioned slowly, his voice dark and heavy like the rain itself.

He appeared to completely ignore the loud smashing sound of someone falling in the lake.

Immediately Krudule’s enhanced Saiyan Scouter which he was rather proud of, detected two energies. His calming search within the heavens above him was abruptly interrupted. Krudule was became uneasy to his surprise very quickly as he hadn’t even seen his opponent yet, he frantically turned around. One of the Scouters readings was much higher than Krudule’s recent power level, though the other was much lower but with the inclusion of numbers, everything was against him.

Krudule tried his hardest to suppress his power level, his face was frowned and his teeth were clenched "come…onnnh". Krudule immediately stopped trying as he wasn’t having much success; he knelt one knee upon his cape trying to seek the invaders of the forest.

Though the profound Saiyan was too late, the figure dressed in black was upon him. Krudule knelt absolutely still, his stance was flawless, and his eyes were beyond focused the rain that was upon his face, he was sure had turned to sweat. Krudule himself knew he was only reacting to him only in that of what he hated the most in all living things: fear. He arose like some sort of cripple; his most movements were beyond strange. The once grand Saiyan leader, of the XII legion of the prince had turned into a deranged puppet. "I’m….." he gazed though his red visor into the mans eyes. Once again the Saiyan was speechless.

The Rin'negan seemed to bulge for an instant, the pupils inflating slightly, further toning out the bizzare shape within. The next moment, they were back to normal. But the rain seemed to be falling a little harder now.

"Your presence here is not desired." Pein murmured, a roar in the absolute stillness that reigned apart from the monotonous sound of the rain dropping on the earth. "Both of you." His eyes flickered to the point in the lake where the newcomer had dropped. Even for someone who made no attempt whatsoever to hide himself, the precision of his gaze was impressive, considering the lack of visibility in that distance.

"Leave."

Krudule began to over think the possible outcomes of his situation. “I………..am going to die” he decided that he should attempt to befriend the robed man, even after his words of passage Krudule didn’t want to leave. Though Krudule’s excessive attempts of over thinking his situation this idea were bad, his chosen decision wasn’t by far the worst. Kran crunched in some dials at the side if his scouter.

Krudule still using his Saiyan device to look at the dark man “What a freak” Krudule thought, he felt liberated as there was no way he could read his mind. He carefuly removed his cape from under his dirty boots and took exactly three steps forward. Krudule’s Scouter was not only his personal lie detector but it was his personal pride protector and right at this very moment his pride was being blown away like the leaves on a windy Autumn day. Krudule continued to contemplate his ideas in his primal mind “His power level is three times stronger than mine, well at least than when I last checked” Krudule braced himself as if he was preparing for something.

"This place is full of arrogant kids isn't it" a voice said. From of the darkness a man appeared. His skin and hair were as white as snow, his eyes as black as night. The rain that fell on him evaporated into steam the instant it met his searing hot skin. "First that guy with black hair and now this joker. " He said. "How 'bout you try and back up your big words, kid?" he tautned. He payed no attention to Krudule, who was cowering to this man's might. All his attention was set on Pein, preparing for any attack he may launch.

After recovering from the intense pain the high-velocity body smacker gave him, Corey shook his head lightly, and discovered it was raining harder than it was a moment ago. He decided to swim out of the lake. Finally, he reached the shore. Quickly he whirled to the cliff edge where he had jumped off...

"Damn, that was a long fall..." he murmured.

[Chuckles]

The sound of footsteps began to emerge from the edge of the secluded trees of the north. It's sounds were large, heavy thuds as they got closer. Then out from behind the last cover of trees, emerged Daiki. His long red coat was covered in dirt and leaves from the north forest. He had been hiking for quite some time now. This was his first time in the LakeFront or West City for that matter.

He steped on to the incline into the more poulated area near the lake and brushed of the debrie from his jacket. He let out a sigh of relief and walked on. The rain began to fall as he entered in, and obviously; he had not noticed any of the commotion when he did.

After he had looked around and not wanting to be in this rain, Corey ran out of the area, towards his clearing, the "campsite".

OOC: Yeah, could have done better, but still...

Daiki walked along the path out of the forest when someone darted past him. Not wanting trouble, he said nothing and moved on. He did, however; hope on meeting someone new at the lake. Someone interesting. Daiki continued in the rain, knowing it shouldn't last long and soon saw a large cliff as he continued. "Had that guy came from over there? Eh, forget it, it doesn't matter.." he thought to himself.

After slipping away from the pub and it's shenanigans through the bathroom window, Orochimaru had decided to take a look to the north, towards the lake front and the rain that surrounded the area. As he made his way to the actual body of water to sit down, he couldn't help but notice something strange. Usually rain was relaxing and peaceful, but there was something about this particular drizzle. It seemed...alive, and about as peaceful as a blade on the throat. It also seemed familiar, this sensation, but from where was the question. Orochimaru's eyes closed in recollection as he thought back in time. One year, two years, five years, ten. Suddenly, the serpentine eyes shot open in shock. This wasn't ordinary rain. This was...

"Pein's rain..."

"Hhhhuuh! This is absurd." Krudule knew he was in the dark haired man’s line of sight, even as far as they were with a power level reading what it did, Krudule was sure his arsenal for killing him wouldn’t do him any favours. Krudule’s enhanced Scouter was superior to any one eyed scouter in terms of accuracy and performance; he could hear several voices, rocks shuffling, and footsteps. As well as sensing all things with Ki around him.

Krudule wasn’t talking about this freakish looking person in front of him, to his standards anyway, but another "One, two, no seven oh their animals, yes another three people are here" Krudule could only murmur to stop this Pein person to hear him. Judging by the petty shaking in Krudule’s left hand he was in two minds, at the same time of being prepared for a fight, he was also ready to fall down and cry!
