If I'm reading all this right JC, the boost isn't all that bad. As you increase in level, the boost increases as well. Plus, it was never said that you couldn't not use the weapon without the boost. You could easily use the weapon for one turn with the boost and then use it multiple other times as an ordinary weapon. Plus, 7 stamina is hardly anything to pay when you can train only once a week. Seriously, the only thing you could do with the stamina after training is gain money, learn attacks, or create an item.

The boost may increase numerically, but not proportionally. And using it as a regular item just isn't the same, since it's not supposed to be used like that. And I won't waste any Stamina on something I don't want.

I wasn't given anything to work with. I was given a "take it or leave it". Sorry, that's not how it works. If you don't want me to have the item, just say so. Don't try to drain the life out of it and present me with a shrivelled little raisin.

And a percentage increase, rather than a Level increase, so it's absolutely consistant, always.

Yeah, 9 Stamina right off the bat AND random "anti-boosts" of equal severity as a result, for the same duration as said boosts.
