I only get one use per battle, it only adds three Levels onto Strength (which is bullshit, because once my character gets to the higher levels, that'll be like tacking on an extra 1% to damage from a non-Ki attack, IF it even hits at all), and I have to eat 7 Stamina for it?

I don't like these conditions. I need to talk to Lazlo, because I'm paying 7 Stamina for a piece of shit that will do hardly any damage, that I can only use once, hit or miss. This is unacceptable.

Island, this is a basic weapon. The boost it gives is microscopic at best, and it only has on use. How can you expect me to go with that?

Yeah.

Some boost. It's a non-Ki attack. It should have the same base damage as punches and kicks, yes? It's only raised by three Levels for Strength, and I only get one shot, which means it also has a good chance of missing completely.

If you gave me a hundred shots, I might begin to think of considering it, but this is wholly intollerable.

He obviously didn't like the original 2x boost. So what about a 1.25x boost and three shots? The Level system was designed so that the characters grow less and less the higher they climb, right? So if Levels are used as the guage for boosts, that means the boosts get progressively weaker. That's totally unfair.

About the Level System, you're wrong. As one progresses, the boosts become higher. However, more Experience is required to achieve another Level up. For example, it takes 75 Experience Points to grow from 0 to 1. However, it'll take hundreds upon hundreds of Experience to grow from 24 to 25. The boost from 0 to 1 could be 20 to each Stat. The boost from 24 to 25 could be 100 to each Stat. As you raise Levels, the Experience requirements get higher. At the same time, the boosts become bigger. Therefore, the higher your Level, the more powerful boost your weapon will give you.

But if my boost at the first level is 20 (which it isn't, but we'll go with that) and my boost at level 20-whatever was 100 (which it isn't, but we'll go with that too; you said it), aren't the proportions kind of...off? With the boost of 20, my stat was already in the 10s to begin with. With the 100 boost, my stat would already be...probably tens of hundreds (thousands).

So just forget it. I'm never going to get what I want. I might as well save myself the frustration.

If I'm reading all this right JC, the boost isn't all that bad. As you increase in level, the boost increases as well. Plus, it was never said that you couldn't not use the weapon without the boost. You could easily use the weapon for one turn with the boost and then use it multiple other times as an ordinary weapon. Plus, 7 stamina is hardly anything to pay when you can train only once a week. Seriously, the only thing you could do with the stamina after training is gain money, learn attacks, or create an item.
