Design West City. [Contest]

Overview: Lazlo and I request some help with West City. Because we cannot handle everything ourselves, we're asking the members for help. We need the members, you, to help us write descriptions for the Stickied topics in West City. The topics should include Kami's Pub, Lakefront, Budokai Tenkaichi, and the Northern Wilderness. Take a look at the topics, and write descriptions for them. As a bonus, whoever writes the best descriptions will get in-character rewards, as well as your name credited in the original post of the respective topic. For quick reference, refer to this chart.


Needed:

• Description of Budokai Tenkaichi (Battle Arena)

• Must be Dragonball/Z themed.

• You do not need to be registered in the RPG to enter.

Kami's Pub

A local tavern where people from all walks of life congregate. Situated in the heart of Eastern West City, the bar is in an ideal location for you to get mugged walking alone at night. The local dialect is spoken with fists rather than words, and a crack across the jaw is both as common as and equivalent to a handshake. It's a generally rough place to be, so it's advised that you stay away unless you've some means to defend yourself. The majority of the patronage are down-on-their-luck bums boozed up to their eyeballs, but the bar also serves as a place of temporary rest and refuge for drifters. Many of Earth's great warriors are seen frequenting the place, perhaps for the fine liquor, or perhaps for the love of stoving faces in whenever the chance arises. Neither is an uncommon motive, as the bar is a hot spot for those who participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament- rumor has it, because the owner of the bar was a former finalist. Whatever your agenda is, come inside and mingle with the local folk. You never know who you might run into...but just make sure you don't actually run into them. For your sake and the sake of others, please, no fighting in the bar.

Shenron’s Balls

A building that resides to the far west of WestCity which is known by many of those trained to fight. Just walking through the entrance, a person could feel the pressure of multiple fighters that far exceed that of any normal human. However, the building is not full of dread and has indeed become a place of relaxation for many. The origin of the name of the building comes from seven orange balls each increasing in stars from one to seven. Although the seven look like the real life Dragonballs, they are only replicas created through descriptions given to the owner by customers who have heard the tale.

The most commonly occupied floor is the first which holds the four star Dragonball in recognition of the world’s savior. This floor out of all is the most used due to the bar which serves a multitude of drinks and food while still being accommodated with a jukebox for music. The second floor holds the fifth start ball and has become a popular dance area for a place to work off energy or to just enjoy ones self. The third floor holds the six star ball and is extremely lavish while being extremely peaceful. On the third floor, there are three separate spas; one female, one male, and one mixed. Finally, the fourth floor, which holds the seven star ball, is for any exhausted passerby and is filled with multiple rooms where people can stay the night for a daily toll.

Granted the above ground floors are well built, the underground area has been created to withstand the pressure pressed onto it by the above floors while still being able to take damage from basements far below. The top most basement holds the third star ball and is a place for those wanting to know about bounties. Although not much of a place, it is the main room of the building that receives and gives information on others. The next floor down holds the two star ball and is a place for customers to release their rage on machines which can take up to large amounts of damage. The bottom most floor which holds the one star ball is a place for those who are corrupt and want to ‘enjoy’ themselves in whatever way they please.

Even though this single building seems like it would suit multiple people, it is rarely known to ordinary people. Only those that exceed normal limits ever find this place without help.

Lakefront

On the edge of the booming West City lies a peaceful majestic lake, in places the sand is a crystalline white and the warm watter licks the feet of the city goers who seek an escape in nature, but down the line to the South, towards a old battered bar, the beach begins to turn into mud and pebbles, barren as far as the eye can see, save for the driftwood that no one bothered to drag away. If one were to trek the beach to the north, they would find jagged rocks that begin the ascent into the wild peaks above. A place where few dare to venture, except for curious and often ill-fated adventurers.

Battle Area

Among the tall uniquely shaped buildings, the skyline of West City seems to indent a the center of town, not into a slum, but into the epitome of entertainment. The grand Battle Area where warriors pour in from the surrounding countries to prove their might against the best. The area is surrounded by towering rows of seats to hold the fanatics that hold the same fighting spirit, but lack the might. It is said that the Battle Area is the heart of the city, and that every roads leads to it's thick stone walls.

Northern Wilderness

Before West city is separated from the world by a long range of snowcapped mountain ranges, there lies a thick forest, providing a welcomed sight to the citizens trapped in office buildings; however, this thicket of life is more sinister than it's beauty lets on. As the woods grow deep from the sparsely vegetated lake front cliffs, they grow darker in nature. The old ones have a legend of a demon that lives deep in the darkness, moaning with the age old trees. A thick fog gathers in the deepest part where the oldest trees gather, protecting this beast from those he does not wish to see.

Key word: "Allowed". Shit still goes down. Usually the fault of myself, but eh, it can't be helped. I mean, is there ever a bar where fighting is actually legal? I figured that might be an issue with you, and I'll still change it if necessary. I just thought it sounded better as one of those "Rusty Spitoon"-type places. D:

Kami’s Pub
High above West City is a bar, suspended in midair by seemingly nothing. Only those with any means of flight can get there. In this bar, many strong and weak fighters come inside to settle down from their otherwise rough training regiments. Fighters of all ages may enter, despite the misleading word of “Pub”. Inside, food is surprisingly overflowing, although with the arrival of Saiyans in the bar, it could just go down… if it can. Drinks of all kinds flow from the machines and mixers, and few have actually gotten hammered to the point they can’t even see, as their training lives cannot afford cirrhosis of the liver.
Battle Arena
On the border of West City, opposite the Northern Wilderness, is a large arena designed for fights of all kinds. It is surprisingly durable, durable enough to withstand any sort of energy attack that isn’t gathered from everyone on the planet. The ring is made of very hard granite, and the audience is protected from the intense fights inside by shields made of energy, if there even is an audience present, which there usually is. The rules once were “ringout is a loss”, but recently, no one pays attention to the rule, and thus, the ring is only for show.
Lakefront
Just north of the West City, bordering it, is a large lake that spreads out for quite a large distance, and extends all the way into the Northern Wilderness. Near the city is a much larger beach-going population, but as a person progresses north, the population thins out, until they hit the adventurer’s path, a dirt road bordered by rocks and trees.
Northern Wilderness
North of West City is a forest, filled with wildlife, some friendly and harmless, while others have been exposed to something evil, and thus not friendly at all. Often, people who haven’t trained meet a gruesome end. Fighters, beware! This forest could cost you a life!
