Rules-
These are select rules, mostly guidelines of how to Roleplay in the RPG. They will not be strictly enforced, but if you break a rule an excessive amount of times, you can be punished(Stamina, Power, etc) to ensure that you keep within these guidelines. However, we're not going to immediately punish you, a few verbal warnings might be needed, but that's about it unless of course there is a major problem. Just remember, these first few are moreless guidelines. --- Basic Roleplaying: Because this is a decent forum, please follow these very basic rules, which shouldn't need to be explained, but are here for those trouble-causing members. 1- Keep it clean: Basically, you want to spell check, reread, and edit your work often to look good. You should also keep your posts longer than one simple line. This isn’t a rule, but good grammar and description is important for you to roleplay. 2- Excessive swearing: Cursing too much in one post is too much. We can understand at a moderate amount, but nothing extreme. 3- Out of character: Out of character posts are limiting you to comments for your or another member’s posts only. OOC posts will not be to chat, etc. 4- Multiple posting: Do not multi-post. This will be enforced and the only exception is if you’re posting in your character’s residence, Training/Attack List or an important inactive topic that would be too old to edit if there weren’t any further replies. 5- Cheating: Do not do it. Cheating includes adding extra stamina, or any purposely done action which is illegal to the RPG. 6- In/Out of Character Knowledge: If you've read a post, but your character was not there, do not claim to know or understand anything about what had happened. This also means, if you know a member, but you do not know their character, do not speak down to them or speak their name before they introduce themselves, since, in your character's eyes, they are strangers. 7- Character Discussions: When speaking in dialogue, try to speak to the other character based on the Information given, as well as physical attributes. For instance, if you spoke to an Elite Saiyan-jin guard, you would hold a higher respect towards them rather than speaking to your friends. This is mostly stereo-typical, which most do when they meet a new figure. 8- Provoking: If you cannot fight in the specific topic, do not provoke another with words to fight. If a fight starts, the one who provoked would get in more trouble than the one who actually struck first. 9- Excessive insults: This RPG is no longer a forum to openly insult others. Basically, unless you have a completely set in stone reason(Different clans, a fight, rivalries etc.) to get angry and insult another, you cannot do it. Be reasonable. A fight of course is a different story. 10- Arguing: If a Moderator disapproves an item/attack, or asks you to stop, you stop. If you disagree with their decision, discuss the problem via PM. --- Roleplaying Fights: These are just basic guidelines of what you can and cannot do while Roleplaying fights, and to keep this Stat-based, you may here percentages, possibly fractions mentioned throughout this list. However you are all 13+ , so you shuldn't be too afraid. 1- Fight Fairly: This rule is the most important. Consider the Stats, and judge your opponent's as well as your own to decide actions. Do not strike your opponent and claim the hit directly. Attack and your opponet will decide the outcome and its effects as long as it remains within the following requirements. If you're on the receiving end of this attack, you should read the following rules below. 2- Dodging attacks: All attacks cannot be dodged. You see, to keep this simple, you can't dodge every attack. You should take some and your opponent should do the same. However, there are times when you cannot dodge an attack at all. You see, if your speed is 25% of your opponent's, you cannot dodge their physical strikes without the use of a transportation ability. 3- Dodging Ki: Similar to the previous one, this rule also limits dodging. However, most fighters can dodge Ki with ease. Since your opponent should be roughly equal to your Power Level, they can choose to dodge waves of Ki, etc. When you're not to equal, it's still all fine, but if your speed is only 15% of your opponents, you cannot dodge their Ki blasts without the use of a transformation ability. 4- Guarding: Considering you cannot dodge attacks constantly, you can guard as well. Guarding is the simple proccess of crossing the fighter's arms infront of the opponent's attack to defend against that strike, wether it be Ki or physical. To simply say, if the guarding member's defense is larger than the opponent's attack, you can chip 25% damage from the total sustained. If it's half or above, only 15% is knocked off. Anything below can only subtract 5%. Guarding is only usable once per 5 posts. 5- Healing Items: This rule is to keep fights reasonable. If you have a large quantity of healing items, you may only use one of that type per battle. Meaning, if you have five Senzu beans, you may only use one. However, if you have a Chocolate frog, you may use one of those as well. A maximum of different healing items which can be used is three to prevent abuse. 6- Using weapons: Weapons are tools for combat, obviously. When fighting, try not to aim to maim. Meaning, keep it all clean with weapons, and avoid slicing apart your opponent as much as possible. 7- Offensive weapons: All weapons with an unmarked increase have an effect of +1 attack when used unless specified otherwise. 8- Projectiles: Projectiles act similar to Ki blasts, but are stronger. However, once used, it cannot be used again for the rest of the battle/saga, unless, of course, you manage to grab ahold of them again. |
