Rules and Guidelines

The Writers Block is a place to come and discuss general writing topics. We usually hold sign-up topics here, upcoming ideas for your fictions, or even previews for a fiction you are writing. We now hold competitions and tournaments here since the merge, please feel free to post those in this section.

The following are to be adhered to by all and I, or any other Fan Fiction Moderator, reserves the right to change or amend them as we see fit.

Current Fan Fiction Moderators: Punxx (In my absence please send any queries to Stray or Machiavelli, they will be more than helpful in my absence.

Writers Block Rules:
1 - All regular Board Rules apply.
2 - No stories are to be posted here, at all. Take them to the top level forum please.
3 - Do not post a new topic to simply tell us that you have posted a story or an update, you can do that in the 'Writers of MFG' topic and only in this topic.
4 - Don't hijack someones topic for the simple purpose of advertising your fiction.
5 - Be constructive and courteous; criticize where necessary but never in a demeaning way.
6 - Don't post a topic asking why people aren't reading your fictions, if you want reviews then go out and review others fictions. Give a little and you'll get a little. If you don't review then don't complain about them not doing the same for you.
7 - You may bump a topic but only if you have something useful to contribute, otherwise please don't bother.
8 - Stay active, this place is dead without you.

Fan Fiction Tourney Rules:
1 - Post an organized Tournament, if you don't it will fall apart. Trust me!
2 - Make sure someone can help you out with it if you're ever away
3 - Have a scoring system and layout written and confirmed in your opening post.
4 - Try to create as few topics as possible to aleviate confusion in your tournament
5 - Participate in your own tournament
6 - Your tournament must be approved by a Fan Fiction Moderator (Punxx) for it to go ahead past the sign up stage.
