MFG One-Shot Competition

Alright, this section is getting a little stale, so I'm throwing another contest. The requirement for entering this contest is to write a One-Shot fiction, whatever style, theme etc. Original or from an existing anime or other world (book, movie etc), it doesn't matter. Limitations are as follows:

1) It has to be new, as in, not posted in MFG before.

2) While your work can also be a part of a greater story, what you post as an entry must be able to stand alone as an individual story.

3) Your entry has to be between 1,000 and 10,000 words long. Nothing below, nothing above.

And now, for the interesting catch of this competition.

Upon entering, you will have to post a sentence. It can be virtually anything (within logic, of course - you can't post a bunch of random nonsense), however, it has to be something that doesn't relate to any existing universe (example, you can't write "Kisame's Samehada sliced right through Naruto's chakra"). You have one week to do this. When the week is concluded, I will randomly assign each person who enters one of the phrases submitted (A person can easily end up with his own sentence as well, so be careful what you post ;>_>). Each writer will have to use that sentence in the opening paragraph of his entry.

As I said, you have one week to enter and post the phrase you want (until the week ends, you can change it as many times as you wish). Once this is done, you are going to have plenty of time to plan and write your One-Shot.

To evaluate the entries and decide on a winner, I will assign two members who want to be the judges. Just post here if you're interested, but you have to have proven that you yourself are a decently skilled writer in order to be selected as a judge.

Part one of the contest, the submission period, ends one week from today - Tuesday the 25th.

Well, surprisingly enough, we hit 8 entries in a day. I don't think there are too many more people active here, so I may start assigning sentences before the week is over (while not preventing more people from entering, of course), so that you can all start working on your entries. But I'll give it a few more days.

Just in case you were wondering, you can do slight edits to the sentence given to you if it doesn't fit your narrative style / point of view (ie, changing present to past tense, first person to third person - and vice versa - etc), but that's as far as you can go with alterations.

Well, for now, eleven is a good number. By all means, if anyone else wants to join, you are free to do so, and on next Friday, I'll randomize the sentences from those who joined past this point. But, for those that have joined now, I'll give out the randomed sentences so you can begin writing. Don't worry about time - there's going to be plenty. Remember, you must include the sentence you are given in the opening paragraph of your entry, and you can only edit them to fit your narrating style, nothing else. Below is who gets whose sentence, and what that sentence is. I'll update those into the main post shortly.
