CoD ~ R2 M2 [Gosan (Piccolo) vs Burningvegeta (Poliwrath)]

Location: MarioLand. A happy-go-lucky place filled with tubes and strange floating coins that act as bumpers. Walking mushrooms riddle the streets while strange houses straight out of fairytales welcome the adventurers that pass by. A charming land, and pretty much the last place on earth you'd expect to turn into a slaughteryard, but still... men (and Pokemon, for that matter) who went that far didn't seem to have much of an intention to back off short of total annihilation.

Time of Day: Morning.

OOC: The lucky winners of the "random arena" competition for this round are you two guys. I'm pretty sure the description of MarioLand, although rather short, was mostly obsolete - pretty much everyone knows about it. Good luck, and have fun.

Poliwrath was missing Blaine's pit of demon-ridden lava already! He had passed his preliminary skirmish with Wolf somehow, Wolf must had been talent searching after all. Poliwrath's new arena made him to some extent snicker to himself, although his vocal tone sounded like nothing but despair "Poll…li..wrath". Poliwrath saw his new arena as a comical joke; it was like nothing in comparison to all he had seen though all its years of wight engagement. There was too many colours, too many lights and objects way foreign to the eyes to a creature from the Kanto region.

The aquatic Pokémon stood calm and collective within the radiant daylight, which really brought the lily white reflection of Poliwrath’s eyes and the glow of the cerulean ocean upon his dismal blue tegument. The azure creature dropped its tense arms and awaited his new opponent; quietly. Sadly for Poliwrath’s great hope of finally fighting a true hominid, he would be disappointed as he would be fighting a Namek, battle-hardened nonetheless but still not human. Poliwrath had no strategies for jade green men. Times like this Poliwrath could really do with a skilled and knowledgeable Trainer; a great sigh was released from its glyph white that still held the same diminutive blackened graze, upon the Poliwrath’s lily white vortex from his previous battle with Wolf "Poliiii".

OOC: For the first paragraph, I'm just explaining things so it sort of makes sense. Good luck BV, this should be fun XD.

"What, the heck ... is this place?" Piccolo said, wide eyed. His expression was pretty similar when he saw Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack for the first time. Well at least it was better than being stuck in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber fighting Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan had forfeited the match after saying that Piccolo was a waste of his time to fight. This forfeit automatically had Piccolo win the match, causing him to be teleported to his next battle arena to face his next unknown opponent.

"So colourful, and carefree. It's a pity that this has to be the battle arena ..." he commented in bewilderment as he looked around at the walking mushrooms, green pipes, and floating coins. The more he thought about it, the more ridiculous he concluded his situation to be, and he was to fight here?

"I guess I can always wish this place back and erase the inhabitant's memories with the dragon balls, if I happen to have to destroy things to defeat my opponent" he figured, sweat dropping at the back of his head in awkwardness. The Namek continued to watch the mushroom people go about their business as he waited for his opponent to show up.

Piccolo then widened his eyes in surprise when he saw Poliwrath, even more so than Mario Land itself. "I have to fight, that? This has got to be a dream ..." he thought hysterically, blinking at the Poke'mon in a stunned manner. The green being then shook his head and stepped towards the blue thing.

"All-right, you" he addressed Poliwarth, taking a intimidating step forwards.

"I don't know who or what you are, but let's get this joke of a battle under way" he said, crouching down into a fighting stance.

Out of rage of blissful lights and radiant coins the arena of which Poliwrath continued to despise he decided the faster the battle would end with his victory the faster he could be relinquished from such a location.

The circular glyph upon it’s stomach began to spin….the blackened graze along with it. Poliwrath aimed his belly at the Namekian; in hope the power of his inclination would let him fall into a deep slumber. Although from experience the Hypnosis technique for what he attained when the Pokémon of wrath was just a wee Poliwag; mostly failed at most when it was eminently needed.

"Poliw…wrath" hopefully the voice of Poliwrath would be noting but a soothing rhythm to the great Namek. A brilliant combination of status and offensive techniques would end the battle swiftly. Although the twirling and swirling of it’s ancient glyph and calming voice, which strongly contrasted the tense force of the water beast’s eyes; he could only pray the green blasted being would fall to his knees, as a sleeping vessel of defeat "...POL".

"That's some way to start the match, I don't sense any changes in ki from it for some odd reason ... yet it's obviously doing something ..." Piccolo mused, getting suspicious as Poliwrath's swirl began to animate itself in looping repetition. His studying of his opponent ultimately led him into the hypnosis trap blindly, the Namekian soon finding his body to be severely fatigued after a long training session. And what did he do when he was tired from training? He trained his mind instead, with meditation.

"Nothing beats a good meditation ..." he said in his thoughts, automatically sitting down with his legs crossed and his arms folded upon his chest in trance. There was a soft hum when an eerie light blue aura emitted faintly around the outline of his body, his power fluxing in and out continuously along with the brightness of the light he produced. This meditative power could indirectly electrify butterflies that flew past, and possibly even Butterfrees if they had contact with the aura.

OOC: Piccolo doesn't sleep, he meditates lol, for this battle anyway XD.

To Poliwrath's misfortune, for this skirmish he would be blessed with an Abra's luck the worst kind possible. The Namekian had countered the hypnotic trance with one of his own, a battle of the psychics; would prove to be an interesting challenge for the voguish tadpole. As the water based creature wasn't just armed with bed time lullabies after all. Poliwrath's body began to faintly glow; his voice changed instantly, it became even more soothing with each abbreviated word it chanted. The ghostly aura that hazed around its body became fluid and aligned engulfing it's body.

Powerful circular ripples danced from Poliwrath's luminous feet, creating water like ripples from within the fairytale arena floor. The riotous glyph upon it's stomach seemed to fade back into it's original position. Poliwrath's image was if he had been formed upon broken glass, distorted and ghostly. It seemed instantly but it was all apart of the mental illusion; it's one waving hands rose level to it's grievously open eyes.

Its bullish arms were brought forward, through his palms he had released a ball of psychic energy, invisible energy. Though the force of the blast was enough to make you believe it was there. The blast’s collision course was Piccolo, and his meditation wouldn’t be enough to stop a full bodily assault of psychic power "Poliiiwaaaaa".

Whist he was still in the hypnosis, Piccolo's body was continuing resting within the illusion. "Hmph, this will backfire soon enough." However, the green man's mind was more aware than ever. He could feel tingling sensation from his antennae, the signals of Poliwrath's psychic projections disturbing him from his forced sleep. The change in the Poke'mon's voice broke the hypnosis, his eyes snapped open as if he awake from a nightmare.

Poliwrath's Psychic wasn't far off from being just that, with Piccolo's eyes widening in shock and horror as his vision deteriorated before him. Everything, his opponent and the background was all blurring and disorientated to the point that it would make any normal human get a headache. "Argh, what's happening to me?" he grunted, his senses picking up a building power from around him.

Piccolo was forced to squint his eyes to relieve himself from some of the pain, it was like this invisible force field was holding him in his place every time he tried to move. He was able to pick up the a slight visual of Poliwrath's finishing movements, eventually seeing a growing sphere of extra fuzziness to add to his confusion. "Great, now what?" he growled internally, unable to react.

The Namek felt a huge blast of energy explode in front of his body, knocking him back so that his head hit the ground. His chest felt as if it was hit multiple times all over, some of his cells off the skin regenerating themselves as Piccolo used one arm to push him back into sitting position. "Now it's my turn, take this you freak!" The warrior annouced with clenched teeth, his pupils changing into a bright yellow briefly before it released two pale yellow eye lasers that travelled horizontally towards Poliwrath to be in line with its eyes..

The sensationalistic aura engulfing the blue fauna, had filled Poliwrath with unnatural talents. To his surprise the Psychic technique hadn't inflicted as much damage as he would have hoped; as the warriorlike vegetation had launched an attack of his own.

Two shafts of light hurled their way toward Poliwrath, the beams of light were literally blinding to his eyes. Yet Poliwrath valued his sight as a fighter and he wasn't prepared to leave them defenseless! The mystic aura began to degenerate into his skin, within a swift blink of his inexorable eyes. The azure juggernaut used a punch using its left hand, channeled with unmeasured power: the Mega Punch attack "WRATHH". The pallid gloves collided with both blasts, deflecting them from their directed course. The blasts of Ki; unknown to all if not most Pokémon crashed against the flowery floor, causing dirt to hover past Poliwrath's line of vision.

Fatigued with his previous battle and within it's current; already exhausted Poliwrath began to wait for his opponent's next move. "Poli...li...wr....a....th" His roundish body vertically bobbing showing signs of respiration. The mighty Poliwrath in need of a Pokémon center? A strange sight indeed.

Piccolo continued to concentrate his sense of vision towards Poliwrath's eyes, keeping a steady stream of ki behind it until it hit something. "Impossible, how could he deflect it like that?" the Namekain thought with widened eyes, the flashing in his pupils vanishing as well as the twin eyes beams when they were directed to the ground and away from his opponent.

"It's tired? Those techniques of it either take a lot of energy, or he was fatigued from his last battle" Piccolo figured, he had the advantage when it came to starting health and ki supply. His fight with Broly didn't last long before the Super Saiyan forfeited, Piccolo had just showed a slight glimpse of his true power when that happened.

"I better conserve my energy for the next match, this thing isn't a pushover but it's nothing I can't handle right now" The fused warrior smirked a little, Poiliwrath was pretty much giving him a free hit. The Namek began to growl a little as he pulsed energy into his right arm, soon having the air grow in length and shoot past Poliwrath's side. It soon made a U turn, trying to wrap around the Poke'mon to bind it's limbs to its body.

Ah ha! Piccolo had truly binded Poliwrath, but this was a Pokémon of wrath! Poliwrath endured the pain of the Namek, it was truly unbearable but, although he had not expected his anguish to be so painful the tired look of despair was all a disguise for the real torture. Poliwraths don't get tired they are at one hundred percent all the time; well that’s what people believe, and Poliwrath was demonstrating this unique ability fairly well. He bellowing loud muffled roars "WRATH…WRATH". Poliwrath left hand began to glow…a strong violet aura it glowed until it reached a dark lavender; his hand was submerged in a sticky slime.

Its body began to squander away purple spores…that filled the air around them, it was as if the purple spores poisoned the blissful air; as it was poison. This smog of purple haze was Poliwrath’s Toxic technique; he was certainly full of surprises. He had already executed a Hydro Pump, Whirlpool, and a Rain Dance in his previous battle, and now he had implemented the highly dangerous Toxic, unless Piccolo was some kind of Poisonous being himself to the level of a potent Muk, he would be infected making his health deteriorate at an increasing rate. If Piccolo could see Poliwrath’s left hand he ought to avoid it, the best way he could as Poliwrath would only need to tap Piccolo to continue his venomous assault with a Poison Jab, that would just add more poison the the toxic.

Poliwrath tried to touch Piccolo tring to unbind himself, whether he did or not was impossible to tell when both of them were inundated in a toxic pool of smoke. Poliwrath of course was uninfected, as it was his own poison…."Polii".

"Now that you're in place, it's time to finish this fight" Piccolo stated in finality, keeping a firm wrap around Poliwrath even as it tried to struggle out, the Namekain wouldn't allow it. With his free hand, he put his middle and index finger to the centre of his forehead, channelling mass amounts of energy to that particular point of ki gathering.

"SPECIAL BEAM ... WHOA! WHAT THE HFIL IS WITH THAT PURPLE SMOKE!?" Piccolo exclaimed, quickly covering his noes and move and abandoned the charging of his attack. He glared at Poliwrath and squeezed the Poke'mon even tighter than before, it'll do good as an alternative to defeat it. He retreated back and up in the air as his arm continued to grow longer to still keep Poliwrath where it was, in fear it'll drag the fog closer if he did. It would be enough, iving him ample time to catch his breath again as the poison fog spread slowly about, yet steadily. He sighed in relief, but that relief didn't last long.

"ARGH, MY ARM!" Piccolo growled painfully, Poliwrath's poison jab not only gave him a sharp pain, but seemed to be injecting something into his blood, and it was spreading fast up his arm. "Looks like I have no choice but to rip my arm off like I did with Cell when he absorbed the life energy from my arm" the Namek muttered darkly, holding his breath now as he gripped his shoulder to where the poison was heading.

"It's funny how this arm's been ripped off so many times in past battles" Piccolo muttered to himself with a chuckle, gripping his left shoulder harder and squeezed until he could feel the bone within it pop out of place. With a agonising scream, he ripped his entire left arm off and dropped it to the ground and let it spew purple blood everywhere in the process.

"Damn it, it'll get problematic if I inhale it" Piccolo said with grit teeth, observing the spreading and rising mass of purple below him. Hoping what he did next would at least direct the smoke elsewhere, he began throwing palm after palm forwards in rapid succession. This conjured up consecutive bursts of wind that went towards the toxic smoke, hoping to get rid of it.

OOC - So sorry Gosan, I have lack of Internet connection over the weekend dude. Sorry.

Poliwrath's method of attack had failed, although he had thought he was at least six steps ahead of the battle Piccolo had outsmarted him. He was no Pokémon but he was just as equipped as one.

Poliwrath still stood upon the intoxicated ground releasing the spores of his toxic, he watched Piccolo detach is own arm, leaving his unsound arm still enwrapped around him. Although the death like grip had loosened from Poliwrath,he didn't remove the wrinkly emerald ligament; it slid of Poliwrath's smooth velvet skin. "Poliwrath....Poliwrath" saying his name in full could be a bad sign for Piccolo, or Poliwrath the events of the battle had cast anything in stone just yet.

Might, was two of the last options left within Poliwrath's violent mess of purple haze. Yet for the might of a unlimited Poliwrath to take effect, he would need to have some sort of reach toward his opponent. Piccolo was out of reach...for now.

"Pol" his spherically bulky body, aimed itself at Piccolo, the green beast of the sky. Never before had Poliwrath seen a creature without a great set of wings fly. As he stood there within a land of happiness yellow and pinkish steams of energy seemed to be gathering upon the creatures chest. The energy gathered was centering upon Poliwrath's black and white hieroglyphic pattern. The strength of Poliwrath's stern would be enough scare away a fluttering Pidgey, though we all know it wouldn't be enough to startle the herculean Namekian.

The amount of Ki gathered in the Pokémon's belly was casting a shadow to fall behind Poliwrath, the strength of the storming glow seemed to hold a potent force of it's own. It was forcing itself upon Poliwrath's glyph, Poliwrath fists clenched at it's side would make one conclude Poliwrath was struggling against the attack himself. If so what kind of attack would be unleashed upon Piccolo, if one at all.

OOC: Understandable, as long as you didn't forget about it, all is well XD.

"It seems to be working, as long as I stay up in the air" Piccolo muttered, seeing his shock waves spreading the poison gas around the area and slowed it down from reaching him above. His eyes widened and his senses pricked, he sensed a glowing of power, and a light coming from within the smoke below.

"Is he doing that hypnosis thing again? No, that didn't release a bright light like this one, he's charging it ..." Piccolo thought, sweating more from the stress this sight caused him. He didn't like the power he was sensing, the intensity of the power rivalled ones of his own, he obviously didn't want to be on the receiving end of the attack. However, the Namek calmed himself down and came to a decision.

"It doesn't matter, this will end it" He cupped his hands in front of his torso, though it was not like the Kamehameha where the bottom of the palms formed the semicircle from the side. Piccolo's fingers were connected by his nail, having the palms of his hands facing each other, similar to how Tien formed his Tri Beam Cannon.

"HaaaAAAAH!" The sky began to darken as Piccolo's bright white aura illuminated beautifully, the ground began to shake so much that the Namek himself could see the floor beneath him blur from the rapid up and down movement. In between his hands was a golden flashing light that was even more blinding than his aura, constantly going back a forth from a smaller and bigger size.

"LIGHT GRENADE!" The Namekian yelled when he was satisfied with the powering up, suddenly cupping his hands out like the Kamehameha now to release the attack. Piccolo sent out a bright golden tear drop shaped energy blast, that shot towards Poliwrath like a rocket, the size of it compatibly matching the Poke'mon's.

OOC: I would have no idea on what attack Poliwrath is going to by that description alone lol, but let me guess (from my past Poke'mon experience), Hyper Beam? XD

God no, Piccolo’s retaliation toward one of the oldest known moves, along with being one of the most powerful within Pokémon history was slightly extreme. Poliwrath stood amazed at Piccolo’s unique performance; judging by the size of his attack he was a force to be reckoned with. The Light Grenade technique was an awning Planet buster of a move. The attack itself may
