Round II: Priscilla [Fury] vs. Auron [Null]

Priscilla against Auron - My heart it bleeds.

Auron ran one hand across the length of his wound as he walked confidently through the tunnel, towards the large arena floor on which all battles were to take place. His battle with Deidara had been a little more difficult than expected, but nevertheless, Auron was pleased with his performance. After all, he could have gone much, much further with the bomber – it just so happened that his Banishing Blade attack was enough to finish off the pesky little ninja.

Shrugging off all thoughts of the previous battle, Auron emerged from the dark tunnel, stepping into the bright midday sunlight of the stadium, which contrasted the scarce light of the locker room and tunnel. Auron winced, pushing his sunglasses further up the bridge of his nose. The energy in the crowd was simply electric: people were cheering wildly – almost savagely – for the next round in the tournament. The warrior monk remained expressionless as he casually walked up the small set of steps which lead onto the newly reconstructed white tile floor. Heading to the center of the ring, Auron pivoted, looking around the arena. He noticed a construction worker standing at the sidelines. The man shot Auron a cold glance. Clearly he hadn’t enjoyed rebuilding the stadium after its near destruction not a few days earlier.

“Ladies and gentleman, please welcome to Round 2 of this tournament…” the announcer started, pausing for effect as the crowd fell silent with anticipation. “Auron!!” the blonde-haired man cried, punching the air enthusiastically, a gesture matched by many in the crowd, every spectator now completely ecstatic. The entire stadium seemed to be shaking with excitement.

The swordsman smirked. Shrugging off his left sleeve as he always did in battle, Auron took up a stance which was almost casual. He simply stood, feet firm with excellent posture, with his blade leaning casually over his shoulder. Many enemies would be fooled by this stance. What appeared to be a man completely unaware of his surroundings was in fact a great fighter, and he was not going to hold back.

Not at all.

OOC: Sorry for the wait. Busy weekend.

Her gray cape fluttered behind Priscilla as she slowly approached the stadium. She would take her time on the way to the ring. Maybe her opponent would become distracted or begin to underestimate Priscilla. But in fact, there was no real tactic behind this. She was simply being her childish self.

"I need to finish this quickly."

She shook of her anticipation as her eyes met the light breaching the entrance to the arena. Pricsilla wasn't anxious about this battle though. It was the battle ahead that sent chills down her spine. Her target, Bisho no Teresa, had that effect on her. All she needed to do was defeat this opponent and pray that her next match would pit her against her foe. Afterall, it was her sworn duty to punish those who had gone against the laws of the Organization.

Priscilla's eyes squinted slightly as she stepped from the darkness and the light from the sun shun through her cloak. She shook it off though, and proceeded to the middle of the arena where she saw her opponent. He also appeared to live by the sword. Suddenly, her interest in the fight rose a little. "Maybe this'll be entertaining afterall." A small smirk crossed her lips; the only part of her face that was visible.

Silence fell through the gathered peoples as the announcer brought the microphone to his lips. "And now, introducing, Priscilla!" The man gave a wave to the crowd as if signaling them to cheer but the erie silence remained. "Uh, right! The second round of the tournament shall begin. Auron versus Priscilla." The man shouted and also ended the silence. The crowd broke out into feverous cheering. The announcer made his way away from the fighters and once he thought he was out of range he shouted.

"Begin!"

Priscilla wasted no time. She drew her sword and in one smooth motion slammed it into the earth before her. A schism of sorts was created and advanced on Auron's position with great speed. The crack was followed by large amounts of debris and hidden in the dust, was Priscilla.

The warrior monk of Bevelle span to the right, performing two full rotations as he did this, feeling the harsh sting of chipped rock against his flesh as small amounts of the debris kicked up by Priscilla’s strike tore against his partially exposed skin. Whilst twirling sideways, Auron had swiped diagonally in a firm downwards motion with his gargantuan weapon, yet the sheer volume of dust and rock shards made it difficult to tell whether or not he had struck his target.

Auron scoffed, whilst he looked upon the female named Priscilla as the dust settled. Little could be said about the girl, really. She was fairly unremarkable as far as Auron was concerned. The warrior barely shifted his position as he spoke.

“Hm. I’ve seen that technique before. Don’t think I’m so easy!” He said, with a tone of disappointment lingering in his harsh voice. A gentle rain had started to fall, the light droplets patting softly against the stadium and its occupants. Bad weather did little to quiet the roaring spectators; if anything, those gathered were now even more excited than they had been. Fights always seemed to be more dramatic in the rain, after all.

Sliding one foot to the side, Auron struck a more conventional battle pose, his sword held in front of him defensively, whilst the positioning of his feet offered him excellent balance. His slightly curved weapon was huge, colored beautiful obsidian black which rivaled even the darkest of shadows. The swordsman almost permitted a sly grin to crawl across his cracked lips, yet he stopped the expression from spreading.

Moving swiftly, Auron darted forwards, kicking off the ground with haste which surpassed speeds thought humanly possible, his jet black blade trailing behind him, held firmly in both hands. Even as he moved, the weapon came tracing down in an arc. Those watching closely would have seen the very droplets of falling rain split helplessly in two as the blade sliced through air, before coming round, on track to slash Priscilla with its harsh touch.

There was little to no surprise on Priscilla's face as she saw Auron easily sidestep her attack. Afterall, the attack itself was merely a way to gauge her opponents ability. Young as Priscilla was, she wasn't completely stupid. Normally she wouldn't be so direct with an opponent she didn't know but this man, Auron, didn't seem like the type to have a battle of patience with.

Auron's evasion didn't surprise her but his counter-attack caught her a bit off gaurd. Still, she was able to avoid decapitation by letting her foot fall into the crack that she had made in her previous attack. Her body sunk a couple inches, barely escaping the blade but her cloak was ripped from her body revealing her body in it's entirerity.

"Well, I would hope so. It would be a shame for you to lose this early on in the fight." Priscilla's words would seem like a joke to most but her face beytrayed that fact. It remained set in stone. An empty gaze that saw right through her opponent. The fact of the matter was, she wanted the battle to last a bit longer. She'd need to be warmed up for Teresa.

With a sudden movement, Priscilla brought her blade in front of her and at the same time positioned her right leg ahead of her left in a traditional stance. A stance that would flexible enough for her to defend, or take offensive actions.

With a heavy thrust of her blade, Priscilla brought her claymore up to lock swords with Auron. A shower of sparks was emitted as her blade clashed with his. He was surprisingly strong. Stronger than any human she'd ever seen. Taking a step to her left, Priscilla angled her blade toward the ground so that Auron's sword would slide off of hers. She then spun around and brought her blade to Auron's neck-level and put all her strength behind a slash which she hoped would remove the man's head.

Ooc: Sorry if this kinda sucks... I've had a bad day

Grimacing at the thought of the overwhelmingly daunting prospect of being decapitated – no less, being decapitated by a young woman – Auron quickly shifted his position, ducking forwards and quickly moving into a kneel, his sword struck into the ground in order to better aid his balance. He felt the soft pat of displaced air against his neck, and smiled as he heard the loud hiss which the blade made in its flight. Auron nodded. He wasn’t dead, and that was always a bonus.

Moving suddenly and almost unexpectedly, Auron launched himself into the air, swiping his sword vertically as he did so, knocking the mighty Priscilla’s blade harmlessly out of his way. The crimson-clad warrior landed some meters away from his opponent, almost instantly regaining his stance. Auron coughed once, clearing his throat, as if he was to speak, yet this didn’t seem to be the case.

Extending his one free arm in front of him, Auron’s gaze became one of great concentration as his brow furrowed and his seldom visible lips curled into a cruel frown which perhaps reflected the nature of the technique which he was about to unleash.

As every muscle in his body tensed, an eerie, glowing energy began to form around the aged fighter. Tendrils of electricity wrapped themselves around him like a barrier, the white-purple strands of power rapidly flickering as Auron’s power skyrocketed. Hairline cracks formed in the very ground beneath his heavy boots, whilst a low guttural roar formed at the back of his throat.

“You. Fall.” He said simply. The threatening remark was made harshly, perhaps even as though it was a command.

Even as he said this, Auron unleashed the accumulated energy. Hurling himself upwards into the air, and turning the blade so that its tip was facing the white tiled floor of the arena, Auron began his assault. Every ounce of the charged power ran into the tip of the blade, which glowed with a peculiar fire reminiscent of an object entering the Earth’s atmosphere from afar.

Having lingered in the air for something close to a second, Auron’s descent began sharp and fast. Plunging his blade into the ground, pure energy poured into the ground, thick sparks of the stuff flying out from the point of impact, as though the monk had placed a circular saw to metal. Auron smirked. The crowd remained speechless for a moment or two, as it appeared nothing had happened.

But then, it did.

Massive infernos twisted out of the stadium floor, the fiery tentacles of energy spiraling up towards the heavens. Four of these strange waves appeared around Priscilla – two in front of her, and two behind her. With each fraction of a second, the incinerating energy drew ever closer to the woman, moving at frightening speeds.

My vote goes to Null, did a great intro, and posts were a little more descriptive. Both did great jobs as usual, though.

Both did extremely well in this battle. However, I think I'll also go with Null on this one. His posts were slightly more descriptive and his intro was above par.
