Spotting the oncoming attack, Teresa pushed Galatea's leg away, sending the blind Claymore flying, and disabling the attack. Now that her opponent was off-guard, Teresa corrected her sword, from Galatea kicking it off-course, and dashed at Galatea, swinging the claymore in a diagonal motion towards her upper body.
OOC: I know that sucked, you don't have to say it. =/ Oh, and, woot. We're the first to two pages.

OOC: Not that I mind in this instance, but isn't "sending your opponent flying" kind of auto-hitting? ;>_>
===== The few seconds Galatea needed to regain her position after being knocked aside proved critical a few seconds later - even though she managed to keep Teresa in sight - manner of speech - dodging the strike was another issue. Even with her extremely sharpened Yoki sense, she only barely managed to avoid the slash. Partially. Steel cringed against flesh, as Teresa's massive blade caressed Galatea's left shoulder, before cleanly cutting off her entire arm. The dismembered limb followed an elliptic course through the sky, before landing flat on the head of a spectator positioned on the back seats of the giant arena. The crowd screamed and yelped, trying to avoid the trail of blood that rained down from above. Galatea groaned in pain, momentarily abandoning her position to clutch her wound. What chance she stood with only one arm against a warrior so much superior to her in strenght and speed, noone could foretell. |

OOC: Sorry, it didn't look like auto-hitting, since Teresa already had Galatea's foot in her hand.
The smile on Teresa's face grew even larger when her attack connected, severing Galatea's arm. Every injury would slow her opponent down, making the win easier for her. "Come on, stop holding back. Me cutting through your left arm shows that you need to be stronger," she pushed, urging for a battle. At some point, Galatea had to realize she was right--unless she already did--and release more Yoma energy. The current Number 1 had already pushed by tapping into some of her Yoki first, which she wasn't very familiar with, and trying to go anymore before her foe was out of the question. Teresa flashed her sword horizontally to her right, the blood that covered it sailing off towards the ground. She was ready again, for whenever Galatea was ready to attack.

...What island said.
You two have a very similar style of writing and it's hard to decide which one came ouut on top for me. JAIF started off weak with me, not as much detail in what his character was doing as Kei put forth, but you really picked it up on the second page. Overall, I'd pick Kei.

Hmm... can't REALLY decide on this... both similar styles, as people have said. This vote of mine will go to... JAIF... having read over this again, his posts just have more of an "edge", I think. Gah, you two made this decision so hard >_>

I'm really sorry, but I have to surrender. I won't be able to be nearly as active next round, and I'm just... not in the best shape for a tournament fight right now, so I guess Kei is a much better choice for next round. Sorry for making all of you vote without reason, but I just got on =(.
So, congratulations Kei - honestly, you would have won anyway. |
