Amerowolf [Suikotsu] vs JAIF [Suigin-Tou]

Save for the constant sound of the rain continuously beating onto its nigh-deserted streets, the tiny medieval townlet was drowned in utter silence, silence heavy as the thick fog that had started to amass near the borders of the village.

In this deafening silence, a black crow's feather whistling downwards from the sky, the humming of water rippling as a rock was thrown in its depths, those sounds would pass unregistered. Unregistered to all, except those with ears to hear, and eyes to see, and mind to think - for no raven's shrill cry stabbed across the moistrous darkness, and no water was to be seen for miles away in any direction.

Within the confines of a dark chamber, it's sole window overlooking a street that had already started gathering pools of rainwater, a mirror's crystal-clear surfact trembled, as if it was a liquid wall slightly tapped from within. Several black feathers already paved the way ahead, glinting in the half-light emanating from the single slit of curtains that was drawn open, allowing the afterglow of fierce lightning and the occasional moonlight when the thick clouds parted for an instance, to get through.

Then, smoothly, naturally in an almost eerie manner, a reflection appeared on the mirror - a reflection of something, or rather, someone, that was not present in the room. A strangely short female, clad in a full-body black dress reminiscent of a time past - no, of a time yet to come, in this place and time. Like a Rennaisance-era aristocrat, her features, nicely dressed long silver hair and deep eyes shining with an almost pinkish glint, would fit that portrait too, were it not for the malicious grin that stained her face and what appeared to be the edge of two black, feathery wings protruding from her back.

Slowly, the woman - her height resembled more of a rather little girl, but no child could bear such a wicked smile on her face - stepped... into, for lack of a better word, her reflection in the mirror, and appeared... on the other side, in the actual room.

The first of the marvellous creations known as Rozen Maiden, the only one to be left incomplete, imperfect, impure, yet ironically, the very strongest one. A doll, a doll which bore a beating heart and living spirit, a rather wicked spirit, to be sure, but still, a being like no other.

Suigin-Tou, the Mercury Lamp.

OOC: Yeah, Amero... JUST... AS PLANNED!! Anyway, this is arc 1 Suigin-Tou, with Renpika and Sui Dream (I'll be using Amethyst Dream, the anime version, since it sounds better). Not that these two do much, at any rate. Anyways... good luck.

"Blood...Blood-doto....BLOOD!" A man hissed as he pawed his away along a a side street wall. His face was covered from the rain by a thick straw hat, and his body was made too look large by the woven straw cloak he wore over the loose fitting green armor. Every step he took, something sharp and metallic clinked under his coat as if a wind chime had been left hanging inside of it.

Suikotsu had changed from his normal docile self by a sudden gust of wind. It carried a swift but strong smell of blood on it, that was enough to change him into his violent alter-ego. The green marking on his face had appeared once more and his hair had grown thick and scruffy under the straw cap.

He craved a kill, to maul, to rip, to eviscerate! Suikotsu wanted to feel that warm blood run through his fingers as he groped the soft pulp of mauled flesh. Thunder clapped overhead as he stopped and snorted out his breath, he crouched, waiting and waiting for someone to fulfill his lust, like a true hunter.

OOC: It's not like Suigin-Tou can do much besides use her feathers, apart from her dream-manipulation.

The woman - the doll - took her time in appraising herself in front of the mirror. She adjusted her dress slightly, her smirk widening by just an inch. From queens to sullery maids to wicked artificial constructs, women always liked to look pretty. Suigin-Tou was no exception, but even though she could be considered beautiful, her distorted smile and ruined wings did not support that notion.

She walked briskly towards the window, and thrust it open with force neccessary due to the intense wind. The gale swept past her inside, conjuring whirlwinds of dust and even lifting up small objects from the floor - a broken chair leg, a shattered tea pot. The house looked truly in ruins.

Unfazed by the chaos that raged around her, Suigin-Tou simply stepped out of the window. The room she had been in had not been too high, but casually dropping from up there could easily mean a few broken ones for a grown men. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the much smaller Rozen Maiden landed softly on her sandals, a dance of black feathers accompanying her.

"Oh my, and I had hoped that the rain would not be so bad..." She muttered angrily, fingering her almost white hair, which was neatly smothered down by the rainwater. Another thing that hardly changes about women - they never appreciate anything that might ruin their hair style.

With this and that, she seemed completely ignorant of the man slouched just on the edge of the very street she so casually had landed on - after all, how could some sort of despicable ragged beggar be anywhere near as important as a lady's haircut?

Suikotsu, momentarily silent with rage watched as the girl floated out of the window, not floated really, but it seemed as if she were after she landed with such a soft tap on the ground. His cruel eyes watched her, a twisted sneer curled at the edge of his lips. Something was odd about the girl - Well, so many things really. One would wonder about her strange manner of dress, her odd hair, those curious wing-like black feathers on her back, her ability to float from windows, and most of all, why she would float out of a window into the rain.

All questions a normal man would demand answered, and knowing the cruelty of the world, the normal man would ask them while ravaging her fragile young body. Then again, Suikotsu planned on doing just that. Maybe he would save her the trouble of having to answer questions. He began to drag the metal claws along the ground in front of him.

'scraaaatch'

He continued rhythmically, before reaching one claw up and flicking the straw hat backwards off his head, letting the peripheral vision of his eye fully burn into her. Although the rain began to mat his ragged hair onto his head.

OOC: Since I doubt this Suikotsu fellow can FIRE HIS LAZERZ from his eyes, I assume burn is used metaphorically, yes? =/

After a few minutes of blatantly obvious effort on Suigin-Tou's part to ignore the man, she tilted her head irritably, whirling around on her feet to face him - she seemed as completely unpertrubed by the man's murderous gaze as by the metallic claw-shaped gauntlets he seemed to wear.

"Can't you go scratch somewhe..." Unfortunately for Suigin-Tou, the dance of feathers around her moved along with her motion, and at that particular moment, a single black feather landed on top of her nose, causing her to sneeze uncontrollably, tears clouding her eyes.

Once her eyesight was restored, she shot a stabbing, almost indignant "see-what-you-did-now?" glare at the man, as if it was his fault. With her arms crossed beneath her breasts and her smirk replaced by an almost pouting expression, she looked much like a petulant child, except for the eyes.

Those eyes screamed cold murder.

Precisely. I only deal in metaphors. Unless it's DBZ. No metaphors about anything up in thar.

When the girl started sneezing, Suikotsu wasn't taken aback in the slightest as any normal folk would have been. He didn't laugh, he didn't mutter a customary 'bless you', but he did continue to stare. The girlish innocence of the girl plucked at a strand inside him like a guitar pick, making his heart beat faster. He stood up smoothly and flicked his sharp claw over the braided twain holding the straw cloak to his shoulders, if fell to the ground with clumsy ungracefulness.

This girl crossed her arms and he dared to move towards her, but only a step. He took another as he glared down into those eyes. A cold fire that could not be mistaken was present in them, he liked that more than anything else.

The doll barely moved, her arms still locked around her chest, her stare, now cold like the winter's heart, boring down on the man in front of her. The fact that he towered over two - three! - times her height did not seem to take her aback in the slightest; then again, it was herself who was exceptionally small, not the other way around.

Her expression had changed, though. Now she regarded the man with contempt, and provocation was hidden in that stare.

"Where do you think you are going?" She challenged as Suikotsu approached in a voice of iron. Even though it was unlikely he could perceive that, since they were for the most part hidden behind Suigin-Tou's back and concealed in the dark grey moistrous fog of the rain, the doll's wings extended just slightly, a few inches of black feathers added to each.

"Going?" Suikotsu asked, reaching his foot out and cautiously placing it on the ground as if he were testing the water. "I'm going nowhere." Suikotsu began to reach out with his claws, as if they were his fingers, which were still curled into fists under the metal, to run them along those strange black feathers.

Suigin-Tou took a moment to observe the man. He seemed certainly... different from the humans the first Rozen Maiden had interacted with in the past. Definately bolder - or perhaps Suigin-Tou had spent so much time around people who knew what she was capable of that she had forgotten ordinary men were not the least bit afraid of dolls, or even talking dolls. Perhaps she could enjoy this...

"Father never created us with the intention of harming humans. A Rozen Maiden that inflicts pain upon a person does not deserve the name of Alice."

Suigin-Tou angrily grasped her head between her hands, as Shinku's words stabbed like iron blades into her recollection. That twerp had no idea what a real Rozen Maiden was supposed to be. Humans were just another tool to use in order to win the Alice Game! She would...

Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, and she realized the man had closed the distance between them and his hand, armed with those peculiar blades, was pointed out to touch her. Involuntarily she hissed, and the feathers that danced in front of her immediately converged in the shape of a long black sword in her right arm. Even as she was chastizing herself for losing her calm, she lunged forward to stab Suikotsu's outstretched arm.
