[Raditz The Ruthless]

[Rain from Mortal Kombat.]

Wandering the endless battlefield that had been the battle ground for the coming of Armageddon, Rain sought what had become of Taven. The realm of Edenia was soiled with the blood of thousands. From afar, he saw a beam of fire erupt into the sky above a giant pyramid. He suddenly felt a great power awaken inside him! A pool of water appeared underneath the prince's feet and he disappeared through it. The same pool of water reformed on the top of the pyramid, whereupon Rain exited. He smiled, seeing it was Taven who had released the power from Blaze, the elemental created to stop Armageddon from occurring.

"So, we met again. You managed to defeat Blaze. I am quite impressed," spoke the demi-god to Taven, circling him.

"Hahahaha..."

A sinnical laughter is heard through the area. Taven and Rain look about, finding no one.

"You really think Blaze was the real enemy?"

Just infront of them, a blue portal opens up. Then, A blue ninja steps from out of the portal... Sub-Zero?!

"Alas, I have returned from my imprisonment... You see.. Blaze wasn't the real creature, he was a mere servant for me.. The Real Sub-Zero.. you two have been fighting my brother.. but now he's dead, and Blaze, the keeper of my inprisionment has died.. and I am released.. You see.. I found a power.. that even The Mighty Thunder God feared.. The elder gods were scared.. and banished me to a eternal hell! But now you have defeated Blaze.. my servant.. prepare to fight me.. Prepare for.. Mortal Kombat..."

As he says those words, cold blue frost is seen coming from his mouth.

Rain turned to see this new challenger who dared to approach him. He was, to put it simply, shocked to see the original Sub-Zero dressed in blue ninja garb. Taven stood steady, as did his half-brother, who looked very analytical at the Lin Kuei.

How could it be possibly? This warrior should be dead! He died and became the wraith known as Noob Saibot, descending into the flames of the Nether Realm! But here he is before me with power that even makes me worried.

The half-gods looked at each other, then at the Elder Sub-Zero.

"Don't think this means I will forget our fight Taven. When I'm done with him, I'm going after you."

"As you wish, but how do you know my name?"

Rain laughs and replies with, "That is a story for another time."

Rain steps up to Sub-Zero getting himself ready. He lowered his body, bending his knees, and putting his hands out as if to hold a scroll.

"Come get me then, you ice cube," mocked the self-proclaimed prince of Edenia.

"Hmph, fool. You shall once learn that if you fight me, your death shall come at speeds you cannot.."

Rain feels a slight gust of wind rush past him.

"Imagine.."

Rain looks back, and Sub-Zero is right behind him. Sub-Zero goes for a neck strike of rain.

One moment Sub-Zero is before him, the next the kombatant is behind, preparing a deadly move. The brush of air against his skin warned him of the quick change of position. It took him a mere nanosecond to register what had just occurred.

Rain looks back over his shoulder, turning his body appropriately to get a better view. His long years serving under Shao Khan had shaped his body and mind for the most rigorous of fights. He may have lost some, won some, but he had thousands of years of fighting experience compared to this mortal.

"You may think highly of yourself now Sub-Zero, but you water is quicker than ice," he said, ducking his head down and lifting his left arm to strike at Sub-Zero's abdomen as he was in a crouch.

(Crouch? Dude, you're in your crotch?! 0=\))

Sub-Zero Phases just as he punches, Rain hits a frozen block of ice, and Sub-Zero laughs a bit.

"Fool! You really think I'm still mortal?! I've been dead for years! I'm no different than Scorpion!"

With that, Sub-Zero fires a Ice Bolt at Rain.

[Sorry. I meant..you know.]

Rain pulls back his fist from hitting the block of ice, his eyes roaming in search of the wraith. He heard a laugh and he turned to the direction from where it was coming from where Sub-Zero would be.

A cool blast of ice froze the air, shooting towards him rapidly. Knowing well how their elements would react to each other, the ninja formed a pool of water under his feet, disappearing into it before the blast could hit.

The ice blast then froze a part of the pyramid floor.

"Playing.. Hard to get are we? Well, I've got just the thing.. I learned a new move.. I call it.. "The Blizzard..".. "

Sub-Zero stands in the middle of the pyrimid, and extends both his hands out to the side, and powers the palms of his hands, and he lifts up into the air, and begins to spin rapidly, he unleashes millions apoun millions of Ice-bolts in every direction.

It was unfortunate for Sub-Zero that his attacks could not make contact with Rain. The pool of water had sunk into the tiny spaces between the tiles of the pyramid, deeply compacted and traveling through every tiny space.

The projectiles could only hit the surface of the floor, not the interior. That is where Rain's elements were superior. Suddenly however, Rain shot out of the ground, breaking the ice on the floor in the process. He rose a hand, summoning forth dark clouds around the area.

"I'll fry you," he said at last, a series of heavy bolts of lighting raining down, not on Sub-Zero, but on the whole pyramid top. Ice contained water, which was one of Rain's natural elements.

Water was also a conductor, so the lighting could make much more harm than usual if it did strike Sub-Zero.

"Mmmm.. Smart Child.. he may be just the person we're looking for.."

Sub-Zero quickly Freezes the entire top part of the Pyrimid, no liquid at all. The lighting just bounces off, and cracks some peices of ice.

Rain glared, watching his attack have little to no effect. He felt the coldness of the ice around his body and his lightning element gave him some resistance to its affects.

I don't get it. How could he freeze the water vapor like that? There can be no ice formation without the water component, yet here I feel its icy grip around me. The bolt didn't even hit him. He might actually be tough to beat.

Rain reached behind him, drawing his Storm Sword.

His right hand held the sword as he raised his left hand, forming an orb of hot water. He shoots the water, spraying it over the ground to melt the ice, making the floor slippery.

He then slides on the water, making him faster than normal, then shoots his arm out, intending to stab Sub-Zero's stomach.

"Try this!"
