Here comes a New Challenger!

[Eragon]

The streets of Karakura town were deserted; not surprising, given the full moon which hung overhead. The velvet robes that hung around it were patterned with tiny stars, pinpoints of light that sparkled and illuminated the interlocking streets below; empty and apparently devoid of life.

Thud, thud.

The sound of wooden sandals tapping against the pavement resonated within the oddly empty town. A whimsical whistling filled the air, as a man turned the street corner, a round-handled cane in his hand, and a smile on his expression.

At first glance, he was a rather odd-seeming individuals, from the top o his green-and-white stripped bucket hat, to the bottom of his wooden clogs. A green coloured cloak hung from his shoulders, swaying slightly with an invisible wind, and in the hand not grasping the unused walking stick, he held a bag, as if he had just been grocery shopping.

“Heh… Yoruichi should like this,” he chuckled aloud to himself, peering into the bag once more, as though to verify its contents hadn’t been stolen. He had a cheerful expression, if perhaps a little ragged; stubble clung to his chin obstinately as though he had forgotten to shave, and shoulder length, dirty blonde hair poked out from beneath his hat, most noticeably upon the bridge of his nose, separating a pair of eyes shrouded beneath the brim of his attire.

Without warning, he suddenly stopped; his grin shrunk slightly, though it didn’t vanish completely; he spoke out, almost as though addressing the night, in a tone different from the one used before- more serious, with an almost sarcastic tone to it but friendly none-the-less. As he spoke, he raised the hand that carried his midnight shopping and pushed the brim of his hat slightly with his thumb, as though to get a better look.

“Well, well. What have we here?”

[Chuckles]

Suddenly through the nighttime air, a man flipped backwords onto the musty pavement below. In the shadows the man seemed only another figure of the town, yet as he turned and stepped forward with a thud to meet the stranger, the appearance of what he truely was emmerged with him. The man wore a long, luminous, red coat and mask that covered only his mouth and forehead to the world around him.

The man's hair, long and black, fell down and spiked up on his head. His hands were covered by long black gloves and his feet by boots. On his back, a long staff and two razors were tied only to be used in combat. His eyes glistened like the moon over the city, but focused on the one stranger. The man then put his hands to his sides and began to speak,

"It's very late stranger, may I offer you any assistance?"

The man then gave the stranger a friendly glance, then tossed a glance at the sky. His hair began to sway in the night breeze and embrace his face with a gentle touch. This man's goal was not theivious or hostile, only curious.

“Oh my! Oh my!”

Suddenly, the man in the green garb seemed almost, excited; a grin had spread across his face, and a tone of mock surprise had entered his tone, masked ever so slightly by the same coloured fan that had magically found its way into his hand, as he moved from one side to the other, as though observing the rest of the street. Desolate and deserted, the pair was completely alone; an almost ninja-esque figure and an apparent Looney Toon.

“Perfect landing; I give it ten outta ten!” he declared cheerfully, placing a hand on his hat once more, to prevent it being blown away in the gust to wind that swept the town.
“And considerate to boot; helping a poor guy like me with his shopping… don’t get too many like you, nowadays.”

Still grinning, he slowly stepped towards Daiki, stepping only for a moment to stood and recollect his package, which he held under his arm; rather than walk all the way towards the man, however, he paused a short distance from him, and his eyes scanned over him, as though picking his figure out of the shadows.

“I don’t think I’ve seen you ‘round here before…” he added, almost dubiously, though that happy-go-lucky look had yet to slide from his face.
“Mind if I enquire about your name?”

OOC: Twas perfect, sorry for lateness.. I'll ask JAIF or a mod to clean up our non-fight posts and we'll continue, yeah?

"The name's Daiki," said the man in a quiet, but polite tone, "I haven't been here too long."

As he pulled down his mask from his mouth, he began to smile with a polite sense, but it was strange the way the stranger spoke. He was polite right back and seemed at ease with the deserted night. Yet none the less, Daiki kept calm and polite to the stranger infront of him. Daiki felt like there was something strange about this man. The fan that had almost suddenly appeared in his hand like lightning mad Daiki feel a little uneven. Daiki still gave off a friendly neighbor vibe as he smiled. He showed none of his concerns to the new acquaintance. Daiki had nothing to be worried about, this man seemed very friendly even in a loony way. His interest seemed peaked at Daiki. Why did he feel so uneven and unsure??

"May I have your name?" Daiki said with a little bow.

Daiki had learned that bowing often settled the atmosphere in uneasy greetings, but it didn't. His disipline told him to be polite and help the stranger, but his instincts told him to be cautious of unknown people at night. Daiki shot a glance around as he waited for a responce. The street was desolate and seemed as if no living thing had steped foot there before. The town gleamed a blue aura from the moon above. Daiki was calm and collected, however; he liked the nighttime.

[Eragon]

“Kisuke Urahara, owner and proprietor of the Urahra Shoten.”

As he spoke, the man known as Kisuke raised a hand and tipped his hat once again. That same grin seeped onto his expression, that same calm, easy laidback quality as before; even so, an uneasy air seemed to radiate from him, a more serious and mysterious aura that seemed to hang and collect around him.

“We’re a local shop in the neighbour. We sell candy!” he added enthusiastically, as though this were its main selling point… though, if Daiki were to step inside, he would probably find things far more interesting than sweets for sale.

A slow wind swept through the street, and Urahara clung to his hate to keep it in place. His cloak was swept within the breeze, casting dramatically behind him, and he cast a slow, calculating look over Daiki.
“…You say you’re not from around here, yeah?”

He almost sounded more serious, yet the broad-faced grin seemed to imply it was a joke.
“But, you’ve got that much spirit energy…” he added, cryptic and low, like a mumble, before piercing the human with his gaze once again, questioning with a smile.

“I can tell you’re not from the Soul Society, so… just where are you from?”

[Chuckles]

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Daiki shifted his foot from side to side just incase of an attack. He countinued to smile and watch as the man stood as calm as ever. Daiki did the same, but it began to become very hard to do so.

"Yeah, I just dropped in a few days ago," Daiki said with a friendly tone as if he were talking to a friend.

Daiki then sighed and looked at the stars above with glistening eyes. He was about to say it. God, he knew he shouldn't, but the word spilled out like water.

"But actually I'm not from anywhere," Daiki began, "I'm more of a traveler. I come and go, learning new styles of fighting as I go, looking to beter myself and others. It's sorta a deep concept, but I live."

[Eragon]

“Ho ho! So, training’s what brought you here!”

Urahara let out a laugh, and touched the brim of his hat once more, as though in respect for the man, rather than the derision he had perhaps expected.
“Living is a pretty nice way to live, if I do say so myself…” he added, once more producing the fan and covering the lower portion of his face with it; peering over the top of it, his eyes landed on Daiki, and a slower, more serious laughter floated through the midnight air.

“If it’s training you want, how about a short match? Take it as a ‘thank you’ from a poor man.”

Daiki looked up at the man with gleam of joy and relief. He no longer had to worry about a suprise attack, for now he knew it was comming. This was exactly what he needed. A battle hadn't shown up at his front door in weeks. That is too long for Daiki. His smile was wide and firm. He was eager for battle.

"Why, sure. It would be an honnor for me from someone such as yourself," Daiki said with a meaning full look, "I accept."

[Eragon]

“Heh that’s what I thought you’d say,” Urahara commented smugly with a grin resting a hand upon his cane for a moment before slowly drawing it over his shoulder; grasping the head of it, he began to spin it around loosely in one hand and added calmly “I should warn you, Benihime isn’t very nice though…”

He allowed to words to hang in the air for a moment, before jabbing the end of the stick in his opponents’ direction, face to the ground, and peering at Daiki through the brim of his hat.
“So, you wanna start, or should I?”

[Chuckles]

Daiki smirked and leaped with force into the cool night air. As the wind rolled through his dark hair, he sent the heel of his foot at the cane of the opponent. The force of the contact allowed Daiki to recive a great deal of air time which he used to flip acrobatically through the air above the old man and land directly behind. He stayed crouched to the ground peering at the ground as he smiled. The blood in his veins began to flow like a river, it felt good.

"Your move."

[Eragon]

Kisuke blinked, as if in surprise at the acrobatic feat; he turned his head slowly, and peered at the tip of his cane, as though he suspected Daiki of having damaged it. He poked it once or twice, before slowly shifting his gaze back to the human once again, and once more, that odd grin had crept across his features.

“This’ll be fun.”

The words hung in the air, as chillingly as if they were a threat, and yet the man made no effort to move. Instead, he casually lifted his stick into the air, freezing once more. Instantly, the air began to feel heavy, almost oppressive, and a powerful force began to emanate from the figure, accompanied by a gust of invisible wind.

A chop, and suddenly, he had swept his sword towards the earth- earth which was suddenly torn up by a red blast that had flown from his weapon, no longer a staff, but something silver and sharp, which glinted with reflected light, the crimson beam accentuating the look on his expression.
This would be interesting.

[Chuckles]

"Hn, Daiki began, "This'll be interesting."

Daiki's eyes became wide with interest. This really would be fun as Daiki thought it would. Suddenly the cool nighttime air became a heated summer day or so it seemed as tension rised. Daiki suddenly leaped to his feet. He grinned with twisted smile and waved for the opponent to use his weapon and move. Daiki's footwork needed some warming up, and this was how to do it.

[Eragon]

Benihime’s blast ripped past Daiki striking a wall suddenly and reducing it to little more than rubble; Urahara grimaced, flinching as a car alarm went off. He slowly reached into his robe and withdrew a small device, clicking it quickly and switching the alarm off- he rubbed his head awkwardly as he replaced the car-alarm-stopper and seemed to be thinking aloud.

“Hm… I’ll clean that up later…”

His attention was completely distracted from his enemy; what was now clearly a sword was resting upon his shoulder, grasped tightly in his hand and yet, he seemed too foolish to realise to use it… or not to take his eyes off the adversary.

[Chuckles]

Daiki smirked and crouched down. He then let out a breathe of air and he then began to explode forward. His speed was grand as he glided across the pavement. His feet were jets as he darted at full speed. With every fast paced step he took, he let out a huff of air. Just as soon as he was but feet from his opponent, he dropped his shoulder as if to ram the opponent down to the dark ground below.

However, if the shoulder made contact, Daiki didn't consiously know as he continued to run forward. Contact was not felt but Daiki had learned not to care. He approached another wall and leaped for the heavens as his foot hit the wall. Daiki used the wall to force himself back at the opponent in the air and threw a punch with such force the Earth itself may tremble.

[Eragon]

Both blows landed, a solid thump resoundig as the man, first dropped to the earth, the was struck with he punch. For a moment, he hung lifeless- there was a crack rom the force of the fist on the wind, and suddenly, Urahara was driven backwards and struck a wall, which promptly crumbled and collapsed into rubble around him. Could the fight really be over so quickly?

A flash of light and t
