Corey [Custom Character] (SSJ5Goku) Vs. ? (?)

OOC: Open challenge to anyone, to any series imaginable (other than Bleach, I don't know too much about it even if I tried). If you disagree with Custom Character's involvement, or if you want a more detailed description, say so or forever hold your peace.

A wasteland streched as far as the eye can see, with not a sound other than the warm winds passing overhead, coming from the southeast. There was no sound. At least, until a scream was heard, followed by a symphony of crumbling rock.

This had originated from the Saiyan known as Corey. He stood at five-foot two, had a tail, and was at least 13, judging by his facial features. His face still looked as though he were still going through pubertic adjustments. His eyes were dark brown, to the point of almost being coal black. His hair was untidy, sticking out in all directions, brown in color. He wore a blue bandana on his head, which streched underneath his bangs and was tied just on his temple. His outfit was similar to the outfit worn by Gohan during the Cell Games, only dark turquoise in color. Green wristbands covered his wrists.

He then took a leap through the air, jumping through a tree. The tree fell, cleaved in two.

"That's enough for the day..." Corey clearly was bored. No one had fought him since the death of Cooler (hint-hint, Chaos Emerald Z-Corey), and he wasn't going to find anyone to fight just by training all day.

Suddenly, a ki signature! Corey didn't know what it was, but it was strong. He flew off in its direction, hoping for a challenge.
OOC#2: Corey's max might be Super Saiyan 2, but could go up to 3 (which would tie in with him getting SSJ3 in Season 2). Yes, I basically used Chaos Emerald Z for my Custom Character. I have no shame. So post, and don't expect quick replies.

Race: Shadow Dragon / Human hybrid (Shadow Dragon dominant)

Personality: Despite his past exploits, Mordred cannot quite be called ''evil''. Simply put, he is a survivor; he will kill those who threaten him directly or indirectly, but more important to him is keeping the madness that threatens to consume him under control. He is quite anti-social - naturally - and is on the brink of insanity by the overwhelming madness. But his will to live through allows him to overcome it - as of yet.

Biography:

Originally of the very rare breed of humans who, through the means of a forbidden ritual that stems from Babidee's 'Majin' conversion to integrate the ki of Shadow Dragons, accumulated from the only one of the Dragonballs that had been discovered after Goku's departure from Earth, into their bodies, making them half-bloods of extraordinary power, Mordred was given that name from the organization who created and employed those halfbreeds - as an orphan from a very young age, he never knew his real name. Nonetheless, the ritual drove them to the brink of insanity, thus the organization responsible for their creation was forced to use leashes - a form of exoskeleton that could allow them to remote-control the body it was attached on. That construct prevented Mordred and the others from going mad, and allowed the organization to control their powers.

However, many years later, the organization was disbanded due to the assassination of its Leader, and most of the members died. Mordred and a few of the other Shadow Dragons survived and scattered across the planet, but with the leashes gone, there was nothing to stop them from going insane. Most died. Mordred was one of the few that survived the madness, keeping it in check by means of a strong desire to live. He was employed by a band of bounty hunters as a hitman, and was trained in assassination and silent killing. That was when he started employing magical capabilities inherent to him from his Shadow Dragon lineage along with his exceptional sword fighting skills.

Since perpetual killings made it harder for him to keep his madness under control, he abandoned the band and went into hiding. With his exceptional skills as a warrior, sorcerer, spy, and assassin, he is looking for a new occupation, however, he is reluctant to appear in the open due to the signs of his Shadow Dragon blood on his body.

Well, anyway. He's sort of like a swordsman, assassin and magician in one, except he has to change forms to specialize in each fighting style. I can PM you the info for his attacks and techniques if you want, or I can just reveal them while fighting. As soon as you respond to this, I'll also make my entry post.

Jagged rocks and hard soil veiled the desolate ground that stretched south of the great desert, a barren badland barely stepped on by man, home only to beasts of the wilds. The temparature, uncomfortably high, doubled with the merciless beating of the midday sun, made for a particularly hostile environment.

Even in this heat, the heavy black cloak he wore did not seem to hinder the sole figure, standing perfectly still in the middle of the ravaged scenery, his clothing mostly obscuring his features. Tall and lean, even beneath his dark cloak, he seemed a dangerous man - for all intents and purposes, anyone who dared casually stride across these lands should be dangerous, or survival was unlikely.

Only the slightest hint of motion, lucid and fluent like the sweeping desert wind, and the man's head was turned, his hood falling over his shoulders, revealing long thin strands of white hair casually falling around his dark, purple-skinned face, in the centre of which eyes shaded a dark crimson, surrounded by black circles, glowed fiercely.

A dangerous man, but what about the one who approached?

OOC: Starting off in "Assassin Mode". Corey is basically headed towards my character - I believe I gave a decent description of the landscape; feel free to add any details you wish.

Corey stopped short, having hit the desert. The sun beat down on his body, possibly leading to heatstroke if prolonged exposure to this heat was apparent. He noticed a person standing there, in a dark cloak. Surely a person would be wearing white?

"Hey," he calls out, "Are you sure you can live in the desert with a dark cloak? Doesn't that lead to overheating?"

Yep, he'd had too many of Tails' lectures drilled into his head again.

The man's eyes locked into the newcomer's, drilling into his skull like the eyes of a predator evaluating whether his prey was more trouble than it was worth or not. To the casual observer, anyway. In truth, those eyes held something of the hunted as well as of the hunter.

As cautious as he was, the person in front of him looked extraordinarily harmless. Apparently, the fact that Corey had just flown in the scene at supersonic velocity did not seem to particularly faze him, either.

"Don't you have someone else to pester, child?" He asked, his voice cold and hoarse - no mockery was hidden in the taunt, rather tiredness and indifference. Whoever the man was, he had confidence.

Corey didn't even flinch at this question. Most people, that is, before Cooler had shown up one month before and forced him to go Super Saiyan 2, had asked him that. Even his cousin had asked him that on one occasion before Cooler's invasion.

"Actually, no. I'm an orphan, and all the people I know as friends are my age."

It was apparent, though, that the mild insult had found a sore spot within.

"But, for insulting me," he began, a completely different tone coming from the same throat, hair spiking up, and beginning to turn gold. "You have the right to defend yourself." He became a Super Saiyan as dust flew up from beneath his location, small rocks everywhere popping up as his power grew.

Maybe it was a flicker of the sunlight, but did the man eye the young Saiya-jinn a hint more curiously now? Either way, his expression or stance did not change, except his thin lips curved into a slight smirk.

"Despite your age, you should have known that letting mere words injure your pride diminishes its worth. And yet, here you are, about to attack me for my words, defending your pride, without even evaluating my strength first."

"Foolishness leads only to death, child. Maybe worse, if you are unlucky."

Suddenly the man vanished, only to be seen standing atop a massive nearby boulder, his feet balancing on the sharp edge without even wavering.

"Attack, if you believe that will cure your pride."

The Super Saiyan had blinked, and had some trouble relocating his new opponent afterwards. Upon finding him, he cupped his hands at his side. It was the Kamehameha wave.

"Ka me..." he mumbled, "Ha...me..." the ball swelled, and seemed to be drawing energy from everything in the vicinity. "HA!!!" A blue beam soared at Mordred.
