Battle! Rules

In this forum, you may face another member / other members in what is called an 'RP Battle'. Simply put, you pick your characters and take alternate 'turns', each person posting in a specific order (in a one-on-one battle, posts alternate), describing your character's actions in a fictional fight. Organized tournaments belong in the Tenkaichi Budokai section, please notify the Moderator of this section in case you want to host one. All other forms of battles involving two or more members belong here.

Regulations that apply to all battles.

1) When posting, make sure that your posts accord to any and all of the general forum rules. If you do not, the Moderator(s) of this section reserve the right to edit and / or delete posts.

2) As of now, you may use any character from any fictional universe, not restricted to anime and manga. However, make sure your opponent(s) accept your character choice before you begin posting.

3) You may also use Custom characters, provided your opponent(s) agree with it. Custom characters are characters you created yourself, either for RPing, writing or other purposes. Make sure to give at least a basic description of your character's appearance and battle techniques, if your opponent requests it. This rule may be changed once the RPG is set up.

4) You may either arrange a fight with a specific person beforehand, or set up an Open Challenge and wait for someone to accept and fight you.

5) Do not make completely OOC posts, unless you are in the stage of arranging the battle (that is best done through PMs, unless it's an Open Challenge). After the battle starts, ask the Moderator of this section to delete any unneccessary posts.

6) Try to make your posts decent. Refrain from single-sentence posts (don't even think about single-word ones), try to post at least one paragraph (50-80 words) with good grammar, syntax and generally good presentation. If your post is particularly big, separate it in paragraphs to make it easier to read.

7) A member can only participate in up to two fights at once. A member can use more than one characters in a fight, as long as the opponent agrees. The same character may be used in more than one fights simultaneously.

8) When your battle is finished, notify a Moderator so he can close the topic.

Regulations that may be changed according to the opponents' arrangements:

1) As a rule of thumb, it is accepted that characters in the Battle! section have / start at roughly equal power, so, for example, someone like Kisame can compete against someone like Goku - same goes with Custom characters. However, for RPing purposes, the opponents may wish to alter this rule, especially if more than one characters are involved.

2) Normally, if more than one people are involved in a fight, they have to post in order. However, in certain circumstances, the order may be scrapped and / or changed mid-fight.

3) Everything considering the background of each fight and the related details is up to the participants to decide.

4) If you want someone to RP random events that may occur in a fight for a more 'realistic' situation (example, let's say you have a Naruto vs Sasuke fight, and you want some shinobi popping up to help), feel free to request as such to a specific member or Moderator.

5) Generally, characters are supposed to possess all techniques they display in their entire existence through their respective universes. Do not come up with imaginary attacks for pre-existing characters, unless you first arrange it with your opponent.
