Small Piece: Random Grimmjow sig I made

So, I was trying a few options I learned about and here's what I could come up with:

I didn't use a pre-made render. Instead, I found a random image on google and rendered it myself. Also I didn't use any brush to create the background.

Wow, that's damn good.

I've done some experimenting with Photoshop myself lately. I've gotten pretty decent at it, actually, nor a novice with no real set of instructions to go by (self-taught). How do you make cool bgs like that?

Criticism:

Text, unreadable. Background, too plain. Stock, not immersed with the background. Sense of depth, none.

But, keep working on it. Trying brushing, or a more flowing smudge.

I actually like the sort of contrast in levels between the stock and the bg. >_>

The background has "filter overflow" written all over it. Use them in moderation but if you over use them like that it is not looking good, at least not right now. Try incorporating custom works for backgrounds, such as custom textures and custom brushes, that would be nice. The stock sticks out too much is in no way involved with the background. Text is nice but it's hard to read. Maybe use some smudging techniques by smudging the stock photo. Keep at it man, the only key to unlocking your potential is continual progress. Find something that works and then keep digging.

I really like it, & think it's amazing especially since I can do next to nothing in phototshop yet, but it looks really cool & I like grimmjow alot as well so you have a winning combination in my eyes
